...in the deep South? Does it happen? I may be wrong but I have heard that they have high rates of church attendence there.

"sunday morning"

also, it would probably help to define how far you are looking to travel in the "deep south" on "sunday morning".

Maybe it's traffic involving people going to or coming from church.

I don't think most people travel far to a church. Tim_Tex knows what I'm talking about.
