Should the Democratic Party simply declare it's a religion?

Should the Democratic Party in the USA simply declare it's a religion (a cafeteria religion) and stop pretending it's a political party.

It's seems like the Democratic Party promotes a cafeteria style of religion where adherents can choose what they want to believe/not believe.

Recent ministers of the Democratic Party include:

The Bill and Monica Lewisky Clinton White House (Double standards are ok if one is President of the United States and a Democrat)

The Barack Obama White House (Obama abandoned his regular house of worship in favor of a religious discussion at Saddleback Church in California); Barack Obama has the tendency to daily invoke a new vow to reform or fix something right away. The number of vows Barack Obama has taken as president to fix this or that literally adds up to hundreds and hundreds of vows. Vows are associated with religions so is it time to simply relabel the Democratic Party a religion and get real?

You may be onto something. I haven't read your post on the Republican party yet, but I'll get there soon enough.

I think of liberal religion as the anti-thesis of Christianity (not always, but they don't represent themselves favorably, IMO).

The impression I get is that it's OK to be anything BUT Christian. Or rather, it's OK to be Christian, but NOT ok to discuss your views. Anything that is the opposite of Christian is perfectly fine, however.

Affirming the beliefs of others is called being "open-minded." But asserting Christian beliefs is closed-minded and intolerant. If the goal of Democratic Party religion is pluralism and freedom for ALL people, they aren't doing a very good job.

President Obama seems to fall somewhere between Bush and Clinton on the God-o-meter. However, any difference in religion between the two parties is likely a reflection of their constituents. Most evangelical Christians don't vote Democrat, and most non-Christians don't vote Republican.

The Democratic party and the Republican party have the same goal - power. Don't buy into that "freedom" or "Human needs" crap. We're just cattle to them and they feed us only so they can milk us and put us in smaller and smaller spaces.
