I designed this rating scale for world religions. You have 8 good categories and 8 bad categories. I sat down with my friend in the pub and applied it to different world religions, this is how it works:

Rating scale

(bad aspects, negative points from 0 to -10)

(1) How much the religion hates non-believers
(2) How offendable they are
(3) How confusing the holy book is
(4) Attributable violence
(5) Pointless rules
(6) How much it contradicts human nature
(7) Anti-science attitudes
(8 ) Evangelism

(good aspects, positive points from 0 to 10)
(A) Cool mythology and symbolism
(B) Inspiring art and architecture
(C) Festivals
(D) Promotion of social equality
(E) Non-pointless rules
(F) Gender equality
(G) Pro-science attitudes
(H) How awesome the holy book is

Okay, here's the scale applied to two religions:

Orthodox Judaism (1) -3 (2) -1 (3) -4 (4) -6 (5) - 10 (6) -3 (7) 0 (8 ) 0

We were quite drunk when we did this. I know it's not objective, it's just a bit of fun. I admit, it's stupid.
We did other religions, but I'm interested to see what scores people get if they use this system for different religions.

Were there any female Jedi? Beside Princess Leah.

(0)----(2) How offendable they are (some of us get offended, but that is not the majority)

(2)----(3) How confusing the holy book is (it can be confusing, but if you read it with the spirit, you will feel it's truth)

(0)----(4) Attributable violence (we are non-violent)

(0)----(5) Pointless rules (there is a reason for EVERYTHING that we do, and if you want to know why, then just ask someone, or better yet pray about it)

(6)-----(6) How much it contradicts human nature (it does totally contradict it, but here is the reason why: ---Mosiah 3:19 ---"For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father"

(3)-----(7) Anti-science attitudes (sometimes we are against scientific beliefs because they are wrong, but we are also very for science when it follows our truth, in fact, some of our apostles have been scientists and I think some prophets even have)

( 8 )-----( 8 ) Evangelism (This is a good thing, it is called missionary work, so I say it is positive)

(4)-----(4) Promotion of social equality (they want women to get an education, and allow them to go on missions)

I've chosen Wicca, because it's my favourite religion.
(1) How much the religion hates non-believers -1, I haven't really noticed this, but like all religions the followers do think they're right.
(2) How offendable they are -3, depends, you might get some followers that are a bit whiny if they've been made fun of or called evil by christians.
(3) How confusing the holy book is 0, they don't have one.
(4) Attributable violence -1, they do whatever they want is long as it doesn't harm anyone, as a religion they are peaceful. But I'm sure individuals have been aggressive at times, who hasn't?
(5) Pointless rules -1, they only have one, and although it can't be applied to all situations it kind of makes sense.
(6) How much it contradicts human nature -6, "an it harm none, do what ye will" is quite a hard code to stick to.
(7) Anti-science attitudes -4, like all religions it believes in a higher force (the goddess and god for wiccans) which in itself is unscientific. But it's not all bad because they're more likely to accept things like evolution.
(8 ) Evangelism. I'm not sure about this one, I haven't really heard much about wiccan evangelists.

(A) Cool mythology and symbolism 9, I very much like the symbolism, which is why it's my favourite religion.
(B) Inspiring art and architecture 6, old pagan art is cool, and very rude
(C) Festivals 8, they celebrate the seasons which makes more sense because they actually happen, as opposed to easter which celebrates some probably non-existent man coming back to life. Also christmas, easter and halloween are actually old pagan festivals, and christmas owns so paganism owns.
(D) Promotion of social equality 10, they are major hippies
(E) Non-pointless rules 6, their rule makes sense but it's hard to follow all the time
(F) Gender equality 8, they do say that the god and goddess work together as one. But they're not a 10 because they gear more towards women and it tends to get a bit overly feminist at times. Not fair on the boys really
(G) Pro-science attitudes 6, the beliefs of wiccans (or other pagans) do not disallow evolution and other scientific phenomenon because they're all about nature worship and those things occur in nature. It's of course not a 10 because they still believe in deities. And they do spells and probably believe in horoscopes and that's not very scientific.
(H) How awesome the holy book is 0, they don't have one. But they have spell books which are fun to read (even if it is a load of rubbish.)

This is based off the assumption that the "holy book" is the anthology Liber Null and is based off of the attitudes and opinions of the author (who is modern and still writing to this day so the clarity is about as clear as you can get: Peter J. Carroll and he's still writing today).
