It seems like it's mostly guys on here. Maybe I'm wrong. Just curious.

WP is a boys club. The autistic community is a boys club. And the Internet is a boys club.

It is of course noticeable that the pH of some of the highminded discussions here is such as to disadvantage the emotionally uncalloused, and that the composition of WP includes a noticeable component of males with lower than average emotional perception [though I do not subscribe to the no-empathy calumny].

I know this - in the Inner Circle I have three males who could hold their own against the Golem and three females who would find PPR difficult if not impossible.

Ive noticed that the ladies dont seem to be as numerous on this forum as on the other forums.
The poll seems to prove it.
Theyre even less common in the later posts on the longer threads.

For some reason joining a endless barroom brawl doesnt appeal to the ladies.

Seeing as to how I'm a teetotaller, why does it appeal to me then?

Always understood asking the barkeep for sarsaparilla was a great way to start a brawl.

It seems a bit simplistic to me to divide stuff up on sex lines.

There is a certain 'rough-and-tumble' in here that seems to conform to an aggressive, male stereotype, but there are clearly women who can tumble with the best of them, and plenty of men who don't (or can't).

Well, I guess I'm great at brawl starting then.

I'm not a boy. Although I don't post here that much (too much else to do).

Anyone can post here, so even if the majority of the currently active denizens of this subforum are male it doesn't make this subforum exclusively male - it's just who's talking the most currently.

The OP wasn't about whether WP is a "Boy's Club" in the sense that it was formally, strictly, and exclusively male. Rather, it was in the looser and more vernacular sense of a place were males dominate much of the activity and make up a supermajority of the posters.

There are no girls on the internet.

I'd say that's mostly true once you venture off social networking and shopping websites.

Okay. Perhaps it is a "boys club" in the sense that PPR currently has more boys squawking at the moment. Maybe this could be remedied by asking some girls if they want to argue ad naseum about random subjects and get extremely worked up over it for no reason.
