I suspect that Pantheists and Deists are simply atheists who inappropriately define the universe as "God", and therefore conclude that God exists. If I could define God as a yellow plantain, I could show you a banana and prove he exists, but that is not a meaningful definition either.

God, as most people know it, is an intelligent being, who has a personality, has preferences, and is concerned with the affairs of humans on Earth.

Maybe the universe behaves like a system, making it like a God, but that does not make it God.

You have met the God? Perhaps on a blind date? Is there any empirical evidence for this blather?

I think some people make it a "god" simply because it does behave like a system, but then they nevertheless deny the possibility of any kind of god ...

Go figure!

This is the definition that billions of people have of God. It is not mine.

I am a pantheist.

And no, I don't consider myself "simply an atheist" that "believes universe = god".

If your god is so intelligent, why did he put our bodies' recreation area so close to their disposal area?

Which of the two might you prefer having on a shoulder?

Could have each of them on one foot.

You could masturbate as you walk.

On your shoulder it would be easy to auto-please yourself, now I wonder why the creator didn't think of this.

Too much chance of really messing up a good hairdo?

Deism is not pantheism,
and neither's definition of a deity is one stitch MORE arbitrary than all the other attributes commonly ascribed to that MADE UP figure.

As an [agnostic] deist, I do not think of the universe as God. If you want to convince me that I'm an atheist in disguise, try a different argument.
