I have some things to say about religion , my feelings , but my time is running out to post and this is a bit of a deep subject and I dont want to pound it out ~ To start out , I'll mention that , last Sunday , I went to this outdoor " Homeless Church " (I'd been there before) , in the Mission

What is pictured onn the welcome page does not appear to be where I was !

I hope (a) you're okay out there. And (b) I hope that you can return to elaborate because I not sure what the point is that we are supposed respond to.

I'm generally not a religious person, and never have been. I have no idea what you saw at that church that was differant than what you saw on the website, but I have found that what is practiced by organsied groups is also significantly differant than what is said in the main tome(s) of the belief system that those groups actually represent, and usually in a negative aspect.

...I was not eing disillusioned/complaining as much as the two repliers thought ~ I just meant that the place shown on the welcome page , w/a lot of people in chairs , would appear to be a different physical spot than the place I went to ~ if you'll read the church's description there , they state they have services in two different places , at different paarts of the day , Sunday .
That is all I meant ~ that the picture would appear to be of the other place - The place I was at (in the Mission nabe of SF) didn't have set-up chairs , and was a pretty small space .

...Neutral to mildly positive (Not a big bunca people) . Actually , to at least force out rather sppedily while I still have computer time some of my thoughts about religion (focusing on Cristianity here - Xianity to the irrelevan at least in old fanzines) - I just dunno .
When I've moved more towards it , am I just trying a play a role ?
Do I want to do it ?
On a cettain level - Um , if one is supposed to believe the Bible literally , well , a whole lot of generations have passed , and Jesus hasn't , despite what was siad , come back .
Then , I think there's loads of contradictions in the bible .
I a certain level , I think " If you can believe , you can then not believe , is it a coat to put on/off ? " .
I amm rally forcing out these rather cosmic questions here in my remaining time ~ And I want to go check comic strips (including the Spider-Man on - Do you read it , K , since I wrote about it here ?)...........Really forcing these out , to get SOMETHING put up ! !!

I'm a total atheist who really doesn't believe in the literalness of the Bible.

But I really should sit down in read it in Modern English, though. The King James English is just too difficult for me, even though it's much more creative, poetic, and elegant than the Good News Version.

KK , the New Revised Standard Version translation claims to be the most readable modern and most accurately translating .
