Ladies and Gentlemen. Everyone seems to have their own idea when it comes to Israel and the Palestinians. So I want to see who thinks what and why.

Erect an impenetrable dome over the entire region, let no one in or out, and whoever is left alive inside the dome in 20 years gets full legal title to the land.

The numbers on both sides that support a continuation of the conflict are too high. Until the number subsides and becomes a disenfranchised view then the conflict will continue, just as it did in Northern Ireland and the Basque territory.

Wait and not drag USA into either side of the battle.

The Mediterranean surges in a great righteous tidal wave and sweeps everything away. Nothing left to fight for. "Screw you guys, I'm going home"

Let both sides duke it out. The last one standing is the winner.

Total destruction of all religious sites coupled with a complete historical lobotomy concerning who's ancestors did what to whom. Or if that seems too harsh, VX would clear the whole place out while leaving the valuable infrastructure and historical sites unharmed, plus has a relatively short half life.

VX Gas has one of the slowest breakdowns of just about all chem weapons as it does not dissolve well in water.

You're right, I was thinking Sarin but typed VX, my bias for brevity got ahead of me there. I remember reading somewhere that periodically there have been threats made by various cranks to poison water supplies using nerve gas, and that typically the police are nervous until told that most nerve gases are in fact broken down by water.

It's exchanges like this that keep me talking politics on an AS board; I joke about genocide using a weapon of mass destruction and get called on confusing the specific agent rather than the idea itself...

Whenever either side brings up the conflict, tell them it's their domestic issue and they better sort it out. But anyone committing widespread murder will be squashed like a bug.

Let us nuke Jerusalem into small pieces (after an appropriate evacuation, of course). After it is replaced by a crater, let us make sure that anyone entering that perimeter just dies out of radiation.

I second that. Either that or build the largest, most unsafe nuclear reactor in history, induce a meltdown and force an evacuation. Only the loonies will want to visit, and the world will be a slightly better place without them

Combine Israel with the Occupied Territories creating some new state, I dunno, "Palestine-Israel", and give everyone currently in the Occupied Territories voting rights.

That would lead inexorably towards a terrible majoritarianism on the part of the Palestinians. Coexistence with an Arab majority always comes at the price of submission.
