Seriously:

Quote:
The legislation would also require women whose pregnancy is terminated, even those who miscarry, to cremate fetal remains, fill out a death certificate, and work with a funereal director to dispose of the fetus. It also requires clinics to be licensed as surgical facilities,

What's the point of this?

Really. If you want to ban abortions, go with it. And try making laws to ban abortions.

The intent of these laws seems not to "save fetus' lives" as pro-lifers claim to want. But actually to make women feel bad. Is that the real objective of the movement? Making sure women feel bad? Shamed? Humiliated? Why am I not surprised?

and allows anyone who says they experience “emotional distress” because of incorrect fetal disposal to sue the person who disposes of the fetus.

So, any random religious extremist who believes to deserve control over women' bodies can sue? GREAT!

It's bodily matter removed through a medical procedure. Usually, bodily matter of this type removed through a medical procedure is cremated or used for medical science or training. Both the idea that they should have mandatory cremation and a death certificate and the idea that the parents should be completely free to choose what happens are a bit ridiculous.

They can't ban abortions outright due to it being protected by the 14th amendment. They can pass laws like this that make the process more obnoxious.

Why do people who think of a fetus as a person want a dead fetus treated like a dead person? I'm confused as to how you could be confused by this.

If it were that easy, it would be done already.

I don't see any reason why any group should not be allowed to have more than one goal.

Why would they be ashamed? If they think it is just a lump of tissue, then what is the shame in killing it?
