Why is it that a hard core Jew like Leonard Cohen groks Jesus to the fullest, while most Christians miss the point?
Most Christians, it seems, wear their Christianity like a crown, and wield their Bibles like a club -- it's all about power to them.
Have you read the works of
Kahlil Gibran? My two favorites are "The Prophet" and "Jesus". Some rank his poetry along with William Shakespeare and Lao-Tzu.
I'll have to read some more of Mr. Cohen's poetry, but it looks like there may be a fourth person to add to the list.
