Is Christianity Truly Compatible with Capitalism?
This November, many, many Christians will be voting for Mitt Romney, simply because he is very, very, very rich, and being very, very, very rich is ample evidence of having been blessed by Yahweh, even if he is a Mormon.
In response to a question from a rich man as to what he should do to receive eternal life, Jesus answered

"You need only one thing. Go and sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven; then come and follow me." When the man heard this, gloom spread over his face, and he went away sad, because he was very rich.
Jesus looked around at his disciples and said to them, "How hard it will be for rich people to enter the Kingdom of God!" The disciples were shocked at these words, but Jesus went on to say, "My children, how hard it is to enter the Kingdom of God!25 It is much harder for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle."

Modern capitalism would not function if people no longer coveted things they really didn't need. If a majority of Americans decided that they were going to live a simple life, like the Amish or Shakers, then they would probably vote the bankers out of existence, and Wall Street would collapse.
Yahweh quite explicity commands

If we didn't covet things that our neighbors had, and were absolutely resistant to advertising designed to convince us to buy things, then our Gross National Product would be adversely affected.
A lot of Christians really take I Corinthians 6:9-10 to heart, for what they imagine that it says about homosexuals. Look at it again:

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Covetous folks won't be inheriting the Kingdom of God.
For capitalism, the love of money is the root of all happiness. For the Christian,

Capitalism involves striving after and accumulating money, and has nothing to do with righteousness, love, or gentleness.
Finally, the first Christians lived exactly as communists.
Acts 4 wrote:
The group of believers was one in mind and heart. None of them said that any of their belongings were their own, but they all shared with one another everything they had.33 With great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God poured rich blessings on them all.34 There was no one in the group who was in need. Those who owned fields or houses would sell them, bring the money received from the sale,35 and turn it over to the apostles; and the money was distributed according to the needs of the people.

Getting lots of US DOLLARS is okay so long as it is in the name of Our Lord therefore the money is going towards His eternal love and is not really for yourself since it allows you to love Him more and in returned be loved more by Him

Christianity recognizes the right to possess private property. It also regards stealing someone's property as a sin.

Actually, there was there was a great deal of compulsion in the early church. And, it did involve terrifying believers.

Consider what you just posted about how we should let people take everything from us. Compare with this:

Christians aren't supposed to steal the property of others. But, they are supposed to let anyone who wishes to steal from them to take whatever they want.
