This latest story isn't from a mouthpiece of the Zionists, so all you 'anti-Israel' folks can rest easy...

Quote:
Israel will 'regret Syria aggression' warns Iran
  • Israel will regret its latest "aggression against Syria", according to Saeed Jalili, Tehran's security chief.
Speaking during a visit to Damascus, the Syrian capital, Mr Jalili, head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said: "Just like it regretted all its wars ... the Zionist entity will regret its aggression against Syria.

"The Syrian people and government are serious about this, and the Muslim world supports Syria.

"Syria is at the forefront of the Muslim world's confrontation with the Zionist entity," he added, in reference to Israel.

Israel regretted none of its wars. I'm sure Netanyahu and the people in the land of Zion and Jerusalem are quaking in their boots at the comments of this religious fruitloop. I only feel sorry for the poor bastards that have to live under the Iranian regime.

"Zionist entity" isn't normal language. It is the language of the deranged.

Ahmoudinejhad and those like him arent natural anti semites. What is going on in the muslim world right now is a power struggle between Saudi, Egypt, Iran and Turkey to enforce a 'dominant' version of political Islam to preside over the Islamic world. What Iran is doing is using hardline talk to appeal to grassroots and hardline muslims dissaffected by Israeli policy. The other dominant arab nations are the bigger threat to Iran. Israel is just a distraction.

No? Holocaust denial isn't usually anti-Semitism?

he says it, he doesnt necessarilly believe it or even care about the context.

What he craves is the support of the other muslim nations to endorse his version of sharia politics.

Its dishonest though to say he outrightly denied the holocaust. He set up a international conference to 'study' it and advocated historical study about the matter. I find his stance appalling but revisionism is a better word than denial.

Are you somehow implying that it would be better if people were to focus less on Israel, and more on the Islamic countries of the Middle East and its environs?

My opinion is not the point. What i'm saying is that Ahmoudinejhad sees anti Israel politics as a means to end. Most muslim nations are antipathetic towards the western/Israeli hegemony so it is politically expedient for him to use anti Israeli rhetoric.
I do not think he is interested in war with Israel but he thinks by garnering support he can build some sort of new Ottoman empire Mk 2 with him as king,

Sounds like apologetics.

Regimes like Iran and Organisation of Islamic Criminals are appalling. The bad deeds that Israel has committed over the years (and I'll admit that Israel is not spotless) fall away when you consider the sheer inhumanity and barbarity of the Islamic hellholes that surround her.

It's not deranged. It's just a way of pointing out that the state (Israel) that their quarrel is with came into being as a result of the planning of a certain political movement (Zionism), and that it is therefore that movement that their quarrel is with.

Similarly, a Hungarian circa 1950 might have felt like speaking out against the "Soviet entity" and wished for its defeat and/or demise, which did in fact come some decades later, even though the land and the people in it remained.

.

That is especially true, when you consider that not all Jews consider themselves zionist (no i do not just mean the nuterei karta faction).
Quite the contrary, a significant margin of jews specifically advocate against Israel.

The fact is there is non-zionist jews as much as there are zionist jews. The term 'Zionist entity' therefore is just a recognition of fact.

Most Jews, especially in Israel, are Zionist. Being anti-Zionist is like advocating for genocide given the sheer murderous hatred of Israel and Jews of the countries and terrorist organisations that try to attack Israel every day.

I'm sure it's a great intellectual challenge for Jews in the West who don't have to live there, but on the ground it's a different story.

Oh, and I can see the "Good Jews" and "Bad Jews" trope making its appearance. Do carry on.

I call strawman here. No-one is arguing that it is divided into 2 binary camps. Its far more greyscale than that Of course there are Jews born in Israel who dont oppose the existance of Israel (left labour zionists), yet do not have an absolutist stance on the question of the conflict.

It is the maniacs in Likud and their ultra right kin that are the problem in the zionist camp.
