Who here believes in extraterrestrial life? I personally believe that, if the universe is, as they say, "infinitely vast", then we, the inhabitants of Earth, can't be the only sentient beings within it. It just doesn't make sense that Earth should be an oasis of life within a dead universe...

What do you think?

I agree there has to be intelligent life out there, as a matter of fact I personally believe we were put here by extra terrestrial life that was far advanced beyond us. All major religions throughout the ages were UFO cover-ups. Think about it, the "miracles"= advanced technology... Kinda like, if we were to wander into a tribal territory, in which the people have never seen modern technology, and we whip out lets say a lap top computer, they'll describe it in mythological terms because it'll blow their minds, and they won't know how else to describe it.
This theory is effectively known as the alien astronaut theory.
"Man was created in god's image"
So basically they look like us, (well atleast some of them). I think theyr evil, because when you look at humans, most people are eugenically designed to be evil. This is also likely why the US military is studying so deeply into autism, because we're the next stage of evolution, and they don't want us to evolve beyond the tribal dominance gene. The aliens bred with humans back in ancient egypt, this became the bloodline of the illuminati.
I know this sounds pretty far out to some, but really it makes alot of since when you put all the puzzle peices together, as I've spent the last 12 yrs doing.

Given the number of planets out there, how old the universe is, and the vague definitions of life, it's nearly impossible for there not to be. Is it technologically superior to the point where they can reach us even though we haven't been able to find any planets with any life? Not likely.

Life off of our planet exists. Sentient life possibly exists. Sapient life could exist.

Why couldn't they be that far technologically superior to us? I doubt we're the most advanced world in the universe.

I am inclined to agree with snake321.

Also, it could be possible that there was an advanced alien civilization that had wiped itself out.

I am also wondering about multiple universes, as I wonder if there is anything beyond the four dimensions that we are familiar with.

I'm a big fan of the Drake Equation myself.
