She's actually quite lucky. They stone some women for doing that under some Islamic regimes.

Islam largely does not even recognise rape either - it considers that almost all rape victims have consented to sex being forced on them. Look up 'zina'.

I don't consider myself a 'critic' of Islam per se. I just call bulls**t when I see it. Islamic countries tend to have their fair share of it.

It's hilarious to me that people go insane over some drunk teenager getting f****d when she passed out, when s**t like this is happening...

I don't understand why you are all so quick to hate on the entire religion of Islam, when a lot of Islamic practitioners in more progressive countries have modernized their beliefs, and left behind the sick, traditional Islamic beliefs. It's disrespectful- and incorrect- to assume that all Muslims believe in oppression and violence.

Blatant lies. This is an isolated incident which has nothing to do with Islam whatsoever. Seriously, moderators need to step in and do something about this endless stream of Islamophobic posts on WP.

Abrahamic religion. All of them are only tolerable to the extent that they've been tamed by secular liberal ideas.

The rape incident is irrelevant. The punishment is for her confession to having "consensual sex" with another man (not the rapist). Still barbaric, but the title misled me (as usual).
