Did anyone here heard about Polish WWII Hero Witold Pilecki

I have heard of him. Was he in the same camp as Maximilian Kolbe? I know they both were in Auschwitz, but don't know which camps?

My grandparents migrated to the US between WW1 and WW2.

Yes he was in Auschwitz to gather intelligence about nazi atrocities, after war he was sentenced to death by communist after war.
