We poor white people know altogether too much about reverse racism, and at least half of us know something about reverse sexism.

There's no such thing as "reverse" discrimination, only discrimination. It's like making a differentiation for 'white' slavery; don't qualify it.

When conservatives use the term "reverse racism" they undermine the very point they are trying to make, which is that racial discrimination is just as wrong no matter who is the perpetrator and who is the victim. The idea that racism is something that can be reversed is ridiculous. It is a concept that doesn't have a direction, so I have no idea why the use of the term "reverse racism" is so common. It's like saying "reverse wind." Wind, like racism, is not something that has a direction built into its definition and thus it can't be reversed.

statements like reverse racism make me laugh

it implies that racism should only occur to a stereotypical subset of peoples
and reveals the extent of institutionalized racism in society

No. It's part of the human condition. It occurs to everyone.

Might there be a point hiding somewhere?

Is it reverse educationalism to call someone "Professor."

So, the mudslinging has already started.

I apologize if this thread is exclusionary of anyone so lacking in privilege as to have never been even a candidate to experience a reverse ism.

I've never been a victim of reverse racism.

Maybe people have been racist (not reverse-racist) towards me, but they were smart enough to not do it in English (or French.) I've had some harassment for being a working class woman that seemed racist because they were using stereotypes about white working class women to belittle me, but then I realise that that the working class and female parts were the main reason it happened.

I'm a poor white man, and I've never been the victim of "reverse racism" of any sort. I have from time to time felt I've been looked down on for class reasons, or because I behave so socially awkwardly, but that discrimination has always come from other whites.
