Conservatives like troll candidates. The more wild, outlandish, ridiculous, stupid the ideology, the more likely right wing extremist (Tea Party) voters like it. This woman, Palin, Bachmann, birthers, conspiracy theorists. These are all the realm of the far-right Conservative voter. Get a reaction. Get under peoples skin. Make a fool of yourself, you will get votes. The right wing has become the troll party.

Not to worry; her district is in a liberal part of Illinois that won't elect her no matter what she says or does as long as she's a republican.

Do you even know what a troll is?

Troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/): is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

Makes sense to me!

Autism has been around since the beginning of the human race.

But Gay Rights have only been won in the last generation or so.

But God can time travel so its obvious that God was retroactively punishing the human race with autism all along for future gay rights in the present day!

I still havent figured out what the Bubonic Plague pandemic of the Middle Ages was punishment for. Must be for some REALLY bad sin that we still havent commited yet.

Honestly, she looks and sounds like the kind of person I would hate with a burning passion. Her face alone pisses me off.

So the choice here was a candidate who believes that God controls the weather and has put tornadoes, autism, AIDS and dementia on earth as a response to gay rights and legalized abortions and increased domestic surveillance is necessary for national security.

OR

A candidate who failed to tell his employer he was running for Congress and who had a long distance relationship with a woman who got a judge's ruling for a domestic violence order of protection and also called for him to attend anger management classes and undergo a mental health assessment.

A very difficult choice indeed.

We may be in the presence of a variation of the "Conservation of Ninjutsu" trope:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... OfNinjutsu

I shall call it... The Conservation of Batshit.

Only a fixed amount of Batshit is available at any time. Over the years, Fred Phelps had accumulated much of the Batshit and achieved hegemony (in plan English: He was full of s**t), thus weakening the lunacy of others. With his death, all this accumulated Batshit has been released back into society, ready to fuel the cauldron of lunacy in previously suppressed lunatics.

Bring out the tinfoil hats and doomsday signs. (bat)s**t Just Got Real.

I doubt there's any need to worry. This is just the Republican party self destructing.

Seems like those Republicans who want a better image would do something about reigning these wing nuts in.Like this one Texas town that has decided they don't want that annoying Ted Nugent to perform.

Yeah, like the democratic party doesn't have any house cleaning to do. At least I, a hateful conservative, can admit that the republican party needs to flush the toilet.

Show me a Dem politician who's a bigot or a nutbar, or who's morally corupt, and I'll speak out against him. And I'm hardly the only one, as MSNBC had savaged Charlie Rangle over his questionable finances.
