Pull the other one Sinead. Someone as politically aware as you know fine well of the Middle east situation, especially in Ireland where its an almost routine topic of discussion. Still everyone knows you're as mad as a box of frogs.

Oh gee maybe fans and money have something to do with her playing there? Israel is very liberal and would embrace her. Besides she's probably toured Israel at least fifty times by now.

If there's money to be made by performing in Israel then that's probably what she'll do. Money talks.

BDS activists have a very long history of intimidation towards artists playing in Israel, and the reason why most artists cancel is not because they are anti-Israel, but that they fear reprisals or other attacks on their business and really don't want the hassle. These people are bullies, plain as day.

Some people research the situation, ignore the bullies and go to Israel regardless and good on them.

In the Middle East, I can think of about two I would actually want to live in out of scores of territories. One of those is Cyprus and the other is Israel.
