Silly lessons that you had to attend when you was inschool?
I remember defense training classes in my school at the beginning of the 00's, I am a Polish
I remember a teacher who was a major in the Polish Army retired, he showed me a black and white video tutorial, this film was made in the days of communism, it was mentioned that as our beloved socialist homeland would be attacked the socialist nuclear weapons by imperialist warmongers this case, see a flash, immediately cover your eyes and fall to the ground, I wonder WTF i need to watch it the cold war was ended for 15 years !
French!
What a waste of time that was, who wants to speak French!, they are such a rude people who dont like to talk to the English anyway.
It would have been more useful if we learnt to speak Polish, that way we could impress all the Polish girls who moved to Britain as Polish girls are so very beautiful and way more friendly than French women.
History was another waste of time, all history is either lies to justify our endless wars and imperialism, or boring names of a boring family who happened to be monarchs.

I believe the suggestion of covering your eyes and fall to the ground is pretty valid even if we don't have a war right now. There is a chance a nuclear war will start in future and the method is also usable for terroristic attacks, meteor falls or some accidents.
Except I would rather close my eyes, fall on ground and cover my head instead of covering my eyes. LOL
I like learning about that. I liked "crisis management" lessons in my university. We talked about what would happen in case of some accidents or terrible weather and we were told about all the signals of incoming dangers. I was really serious about the subject. And I considered it a huge, interesting coincidence that on the day when we were supposed to have our exam our president's plane crashed. And I was really disappointed when they canceled the exam and sent us home for that very reason. I was really curious about what crisis management teacher might tell us about plane crash and what might happen to our country when president and so many politics suddenly die.
However I didn't like the defense training lessons in high school.
They were telling us to go to the schoolyard, stay in 2 rows, count, turn left, turn right etc. It was pointless in my opinion.
I never knew where I am supposed to stand and I had trouble figuring out when is my turn to speak my number because I couldn't focus on other people counting without looking at their mouths(I couldn't recognize their voices). I was supposed to look straight and not move so I couldn't see them, I had to depend on the sound alone.

Oh, I do not know if you would like to learn Polish, is a difficult language even for us native Poles, I had an assessment 5+ (B +) with English language lessons, and Polish language lessons I had a miserable 3- (D)
At the university I had to choose one any language that I had to learn to level B2-1, late for records on the English course, the whole class was already full, it signed up on German, I thought that it would be difficult, after all, it is similar to English, both They belong to the Germanic language group.
I was wrong, I failed this course, I had to change it to English. The German was everything I hate in Polish, a lot of stupid rules of grammar, declination and so on. I love my native Polish language, but I hate grammar. While the English on simple rules and syntax. Anyway, I was once not good with languages.
Though I wonder why I was defense training classes, CPR classes so much during these activities can be regarded as important because you may need someday save somebody life, but I do not know WTF learn what to do in case of nuclear attack
