Last night, during the debate, he drew attention to the way Carly Fiorina, a woman hoping to secure the Republican nomination, appearance while berating her personality and the entire time she had a look on her face that said she could care less about what Trump is saying or his opinions about her; it's just irrelevant noise coming from Trump who is very unattractive physically and I wondered, why does he waste time on such bs when there's so much serious stuff going on what with ISIS, the EU PIIGS, China, and our own rising costs and low job creation? Why does he have to go and say something stupid instead of focusing on what matters? I figured it's because he must be very insecure about the way he looks so he always has to draw attention to women and be negative. Even when he attempts ata compliment, it sounds backhanded. Wisdom for Trump - be serious and stick to the issues.

The way I view Trump, he is a privileged, spoiled brat who overreacts when he doesn't get his way or if someone doesn't tell him how great he is. So, needless to say, I wouldn't vote for this whiner unless he was my only choice ( may I be spared that!).

Trump knows nothing. If elected, he'll screw up the US in a manner worse than the second President Bush.

Trump ideas seems to most closely resemble ...

left wing economics (the famous left-wing economist Paul Krugman said "Trump has it right on economics")
+ nationalism (wants to "make America great", and build a super military, and kick out non-citizens)

= National Socialism

Forgive a European for meddling in American politics, but the mere fact that Donald Trump is even a candidate for President reflects very badly on the Republican Party and on the USA as a whole. You deserve better, and I hope you get it.

I've always believed Donald Trump to be a corporate psychopath.
He seems to check all the boxes.

He is not being perceived as insecure by the voters. All polls show that he won the debate by a huge margin.

Yes and this shows you where the majority of Republicans are, worrying about stuff that doesn't matter rather than addressing serious problems. Whether Carly Fiorina is attractive or not is entirely irrelevant and ridiculous to even mention in a serious debate. None of the politicians are going to win any beauty pageants but there goes Trump filling up airspace with meaningless noise only in an effort to appeal to the lowest, most non thinking demographic and it worked apparently but that is not encouraging. People should have been reviled by it instead the lowest applaud it. It's not like she's working at an escort service so who cares about her personality or her looks? Why not focus on where she stands on issues and how effective she would be as President?
Attractive people don't want to be politicians anyway, or you would see more of them going into that. They seem to avoid it like the plague.

He tried to bully Rand Paul on his looks also. Bully in every sense of the the word is what he is. The frustrated adults who can't get away with it anymore are eating it up.

He bullies people who are better looking than he is which is what leads me to wonder if he is insecure about himself and with all his money he could get something done but chooses not to. Maybe he has bourgeois tastes even though he is an elitist?

I actually have a different take on Trump. I think if he were ever diagnosed, he'd be labeled with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I could be wrong, but I think he honestly believes he's better than Christ's second coming.

That bullying thing- going after opponents because of their appearance- is unique among major presidential candidates in my lifetime. Maybe even unique in the nation's history. Hard to imagine Lincoln, or Douglas, talking about how the other "wears glasses just to look intelligent".

Instead of being a neurosis it could be a deliberate strategy. Maybe to break other person down. Or maybe to make himself look tough. Or maybe to deflect from the fact he doesn't really have anything to actually say about the actual issues. I suspect the last.

Me too. That's why I think it's so extremely dangerous for the whole world if that man ever becomes president.

The man wants power for the sake of power: those are the worst leaders imaginable.
At least most of the other US presidents (even the percieved 'bad' ones) wanted power to change the US/world for the better (using their own definition of better), trump doesn't, he just wants power.

Trump is, deal with it!

America is a concept, those of us who hold to the vision of the Founding Fathers will never give up. 200,000,000 Americans say this place is better than the rest of the world, and we are keeping it.

I do hold onto the dreams of the founders, and Lincoln, too; that's why I oppose Trump.
