ow looks hunting / fishing regulations in your countries?
I read very sad news as in on in small town in my countries two boys fishing illegally without permit. (In Poland you need obtain fishing permit for fishing on public waters or hunting permit
And you need to be at least 14 years to fish on daylight only or on night with guardian if you are bellow 16 years old and you need pass the test about fishing regulation)
When they was spotted by police officer and game warden.
They chased them and boys tried to cross trough unsecured railway crossing, the police officer stpoed and yell on them to not be foolish, and they not punish them but no go there one made it but the other one was hited by train is now in comma 
The sad thing that while in Poland can land in jall for 2 years (maximum penalty for poaching) if you don't have hunting/fishing license the kids usually get usually small fine by the courts
Mostly ends only on confiscation of fishing equipment,
and the boys apparently feared that the Fisheries Guard be taken away them to their toys
BTW How looks in other countries the situation when the accused fell into a coma?

How severe is what you are caught with, what time of season, and your age. Underage generally will just have fines.
I have always had licenses for each state I am resident in. Specially hunting. I used to hunt big game with both rifle and bow. I am not a sport hunter or fisher. I do not like sad creepy heads on my wall or handy hoof coathook decor. If I can't eat it , I am going to leave it alone.
In US currently; the kid in coma would possible have his parents suing over the pursuit and injury. Specially if no history of trouble. The game wardens would be crucified if the kid was a protected minority.
A friend got in big trouble in NoCal for gathering abalone of wrong size and off season, wrong zone and no permit. He actually got some jail time. He had like a good 30 pounds on him. Not like he was feeding a poor family. He wanted a fancy cook out but didn't want to delay it 3 weeks. -_-
I also think that those guards exaggerated, they were just kids, like the law is the law, but I think that sometimes they would turn a blind eye, yet it was only about fishing and not murder.
I don't know, as I read those information the press, I felt sympathy for these boys, and not for law enforcement.
You say that in America a gamekeeper with a police officer, they could be sued by the parents?
