Here's an interesting one.

Did God send his son down to perform miracles, get crucified and come back to life, or did Xenu blow aliens up in volcanoes then send their souls into us?

I dunno about you, but to me they both sound as believable as each other

I must agree with you. They both want your money and they both want to control your life.

Not quite correct, God sent his son who was also his own father born from the loins of a virgin mother impregnated by the Son/Father, who then performed magic, perished for our sins but didn't really as he survived his own death

Scientology would be the one that makes more sense because it was created by a fiction writer, aware of such things as "Continuity" and "Plot" and "Suspension of Disbelief". (To a degree. He wasn't a GREAT writer.)

Technically....Jesus is a real person documented in history. Xenu was something a con man made up.

Followers of the faith have generally experienced profound life changes for the better, miracles, etc.

Scientology only benefits those with money, their criminal escapades are well-documented and abhorrent.

And Christians have always been perfect, nice, and peaceful?

Right, one could question how well Christianity alters people, as noted from this comment by Robert Price:

"But the crucial point is that conversion does not necessarily change this. If you're lucky, it may, but stories of such dramatic night-and-day turnabouts are tall tales that float around the evangelical community like water-cooler chatter about someone on TV who won the Lottery. Most lives are mediocre and stay that way, despite all the "Dieting with Jesus" books."

This isn't to say that nobody changes. Some people are very predisposed to changing by their psychology. However, changing does not seem a very strong tendency within the church. As it stands, the escapades of fundamentalists are also quite notable.

Scientology has taught me so much about my purpose here on this earth. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Your "purpose" is one of your own choosing. It was not determined by nature or cosmic forces.

No, it was determined by aliens.

I don't think you can really argue this as there is no one who has a neutral opinion on these sorts of things (religious affairs).

I guess it's more of a sarcastic question meant to be funny, though.

They're both equally unbelievable, except Christianity has the benefit of its principle miracles having supposedly occured a long time ago, meaning it's harder to be sure of the accuracy or inaccuracy of the evidence.

But alien forces.
