I noticed that there's a lot more of atheist men than atheist women ...and I noticed that a lot female believers usually are stronger believers than male believers .

Why so? How faith/atheism of the person can be related to his/her gender?

I've actually seen statistics that back up that assertion. If only I could remember where I found them...

Males are more likely to have a "God" complex than females. Why believe in God when you think you are God?

Sounds like a gender role stereotype, like men are suppose to be more logical than women kinda thing.

I believe it has to do with some social norms about the gender roles.

I dont think there is that much of a difference, I think for some reason males just like to talk about it more than females.

Yeah, probably it used to be like that before, but now, it seems to be the same.

I have no intention of stereotyping ....."stereotype" term is so overused lately here , no one can be talk anymore about some group in general without being accused as stereotyper!

Most cats say 'miaw' --- >Oh you are stereotyping!

I didn't mean to imply that YOU were stereotyping, just saying where that comes from.

Michael Shermer of Skeptic Magazine points out that while fringe groups that deny things like the Holocaust, 9/11 or the Moon landing are mostly populated by men, groups that deal with the supernatural like Tarot things, Yoga, Accupuncture, etc. tend to be populated by women.

So yes, there's definitely a biological factor.

I wouldn't use that as a "definitely" while knowing that social norms play a big role on this, in which case if there is a "defnitely" biological thing, then why a lot of men are so religious and a lot of women are skepticals?

I'm saying you can be genetically predisposed to atheism; same as cancer or whatever else you want to use as an example.

I personally have managed to convince myself that all alleged gender differences, aside from physical differences, are nothing more than tendencies.
Granted, you're only asking about tendencies, so I'm much more accepting of this question.
The tendencies are that men are stronger intellectually and that women are stronger emotionally.
A part of intellectual strength is the ability to question an idea, for example, the idea that G-d exists.
A lot of modern religion seems to appeal to emotions, so the emotionally-strong could be drawn in by that, and also, I don't imagine that the emotionally-strong would want to betray the people who they have been around who encourage the idea that G-d exists.
Again, the whole correlation between gender, intellect, and emotion is nothing more than a tendency.
