"Olive-skinned" is a common label for the "swarthy" skin tone found among many Southern Europeans and some European Jews.

Olives are also black. Its the darkened coloring, typically with black hair, or at least really dark hair, that gives rise to being olive-skinned.

Olives come in many colors, and some of them are flesh tones. It probably has nothing to do with the color, though. It's more likely the regions they're native to.

It makes you look like you're related to them African people or like you might worship that Middle Eastern moon god, what's his name, ah, Muhammad. You don't want to be associated with them people, you know. It's impure genes from when humans were mating with gorillas, and it shows how they strayed from God.

Ain't that right, Fred?

Oh, yeah. Don't you know? We all started off white, when the Good Lord created us in his image, but some people didn't learn their lesson after the Flood. First they thought they'd be satisfied with homosexuality, but all the men turning queer left the women feeling lonely. What, you think your women are just going to sit around doing nothing when their men are out humping each other? You see, that's why the Nigerians get so angry over homosexuals today. They were turned back to the Lord's Way, and they realized what had been done to them. They don't put up with that mess the way we do here, you know, because they've already been through what we're fixin' to go through. You mark my words: it's going to happen here the way it did in Africa, and we'll all wish we'd listened to what the Good Lord told us!

Griff, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or serious.

Maybe both, I dunno. In a sardonic, hateful kind of way.

I learned that that's why it's called a "smear tactic", because the accuser seamlessly mixes
truths, lies, sarcasms, and serious statements, until the people he's smearing just look
bad, and without any articulate reasoning having been provided.
It shouldn't work, but it does. :?

you realise that the "olive" (tanned) skin in southern Europe actually does come from the Moorish conquest right?

My younger brother has olive-skin but he displays more characteristics of our Cherokee ancestry.
