Why the need for a post on this? punk rock songs are replete with political subject matter.

well some hic disagreed! there's an amazing quote by picasso randomly placed in the lyrics booklet 4 the new Rise Against album about how art is an instrument of war. So I think Picasso would agree that punk rock applies to politicsXD

I love punk rock. Some of it can be just immature and rebellious but a lot of it is empowering. It sort of makes me want to make a change in the world. Many punk rock bands talk about politics and religion. Too bad there are more philosophical lyrical bands.

I'd like to see more videos with good political or anti-religion messages. :twisted:

Punk-rock also applies to rage and body piercings.

Most music is not about politics. I'm sure there are some political songs from every style of music but punk rock is all about anarchy.

Of course they r. Although that particular song is an acoustic. They have other good songs 2...like "seperation of church and skate"
