This thread is to remember all the former PPR regulars who have, for one reason or another, ceased to be active in this little corner of WP. Kallister1, Chever, Phagocyte, Iamnotaparakeet, Ragtime, snake321, ToadofSteel, and many more. Add your reminisces and names of posters you miss here.

We need to get a troupe of WP members, rent a ship, and throw a wreath into the ocean.

Speaking of whom, what the hell happened to the first and third on that list? Nobody ever tells me nothin'.

I have a few more to add, but do not want to get into trouble by speaking their names.

I miss slowmutant. It's strange, but I was thinking about him before he left. I was thinking about how he would make a good priest. I actually pm'd him the day after his last sign in to ask him if he ever considered living in a monastery. We never spoke through private emails so I find it strange how I kept thinking about him and pm'd him out of the blue. Does this count as psychic phenomenon?

Those are members of whom we are not supposed to speak. Meaning they got the banstick.

Claire333, I think you're safe. If mods ever see this thread (they don't watch PPR too closely) the most they'll likely do is lock or delete it.

Is slowmutant really gone? I'm kind of hoping it's just a brief hiatus.

The character of this site is that of mild conflict with a few over-excited participants. If you have a real life I imagine running over the same territory repeatedly eventually becomes boring. I am probably one of the older members and find some of the conversations entertaining and stick around because I live alone and need a bit of external contact, but even though the caliber of the participants seems higher than that of the average site nothing really gets accomplished here. Very few people change their minds about their perspectives (including myself) and I occasionally dip into farce to be a bit more entertaining but I can understand people leaving out of frustration.

I see Ragtime in the adult forum quite a bit.

BTW, snake321 will never return here, I know that for sure.

What happened to skafather?? No one has ever told me that.
I always enjoyed his posts, though I hated how he never capitalized
anything.

Edit....sigh...They know they are missed. What is a girl to do?

He stopped posting because the atheists were giving him a hard time. He is actually an atheist so he took it hard. He is an unorthodox atheist though because Jesus is one of his heroes.
I think it's too bad how he was misunderstood. Intelligence often acts as an invisible shield.

Snake was cool too. We spoke in pms quite a bit. He was always yelling at me and calling me a flake. He also was cursed with an intelligent shield. He read too much and was overly paranoid. Although, I did agree with him more than I did with the average joe when it comes to politics, I hate politics and often will resort to spirituality for guidance on matters of truth.
I have his myspace address if anyone wants to email him. I'm not in the mood to look it up right now though. But, if anyone cares, just post it here.

Some will return, some are gone; some by choice, and other chosen for. A tribute to those missed is a wonderful thing... just a caution on getting into conversation about members who have been banned.

I miss the Shaunwilliam / Chever battles.

Why do you put Ragtime on that list, Orwell? He is not gone, even from PPR. He posted here a couple of weeks ago, perhaps not a regular anymore but not exactly gone either. He is just not using this forum as a pulpit any more or starting loaded polls to preach, so he is not giving you anything to flame him for. Is that what you miss?

I was just listing people who used to be PPR regulars and no longer post in here as frequently.
