I'm a fan of John McCain he was old but very wise and with lots of experience compared to Obama I believe he could do things twice as good.

He had a good health plan that didn't sound so liberal like Obamas.

His VP pick Sarah Palin understood those like us and wants to help special needs kids.

Respected all human life whether unborn or not.

He has war experience and knows what it takes.

Didn't like when Obama mentioned bombing and attacking Korea

Thought about the country first and not popularity




His biggest mistake was the bailout bill or he may have heightened his chances of winning.

I was mad to hear Obama won. There is something wrong about that guy for real. I just don't trust him. I don't like how he bad mouthed McCain and was rude many times during debates.
Like saying he'd die in office.
I believe people voted for him just for being black and his looks.
I'm not against black so lets get that straight.

What I want in a politician is someone who is going to do the job and do it the right way and get it done.

Actually, McCain was a senile idiot who, much like Dubya, would never have gotten where he was if not for family connections. He graduated at the bottom of his class, and would likely have been expelled from college if not for who his father was. McCain's experience really was not all that impressive.


Not really. He never gave any specifics on what exactly his health plan consisted of, and tended to vacillate a lot.


BS. One of the few things McCain was consistent on was opposing any help to disabled people of any kind. And Palin was sickening to use her son as political leverage. Besides that, Down's and Autism have very little in common.

What is the relevance of his war experience? Knows what what takes?

I often hear people saying they "just don't trust" Obama. What has he done, other than having a funny name? When did he bad-mouth McCain? I seem to remember McCain being more disrespectful than Obama in the debates.


I'm pretty sure Obama never said that.


And loads of people voted for McCain just because they bought into the chain e-mails about Obama being a Muslim or not a US citizen.


Then you sure as hell don't want McCain. Whether or not you want Obama for that is debatable, and we'll see as his administration goes on, but McCain would undoubtedly have been a massive screw-up.

I would trust McCain's judgment in foreign policy and matters for war to a greater extent than Obama's. In economic and financial matters, it would not make that much difference. Our economy was built on sand over a 30 to 40 year period and thoroughly hollowed out well before the Bush folk. It would have come undone regardless of who won. Barak seems content to let the Democrats loot the tax paying public in the name of "stimulus". We shall see how well that works.

McCain was a womanizing selfish pig. He dumped his wife after a disfiguring car accident and their two children to go run off with a millionairess, daughter to a mobster, only 2/3 his age. He sold his soul to be a Senator.

I agree with you on every point but this. The race was narrow before the bailout bill, and it was a comfortable ride after that. If McCain had turned around in the right way, it would have been a massive risk but it could well have paid off and he could have a better case for being called a "Maverick". I guess he and his campaign just weren't prepared for it.

In terms of debate, McCain made very poor arguments, mostly attacks on his opponent. Obama always kept to his stuff, never or rarely attacked McCain, so in the pure tradition of greek debating, i'd say McCain looses. <.<

Someone's been watching too much fox news. Palin is a complete moron. She's a laughing stock and evil to boot. If McCain had have gotten in, the US would have been finished. To vote in another Republican after the Bush era would have been ridiculous. I do think McCain does want whats best for the US though, his losing speech seemed pretty genuine. But damn anyone that supports Palin needs a labotomy.

I will be honest I like John McCain and it took me a very long time to decide. I liked his ideas but I liked Obama's a tad better but really the factor that made up my mind for me was Sarah Palin, that woman scared me to death.

Now in terms of being better than Obama I don't think he would have been a better president.

Most americans think Obama was the better candidate. If you don't believe me look at Nov. 4th's results.

I think he's doing a great job right now. Sure thing's aren't that much better, but they really aren't exactly worse either...

I don't think Obama's been in office long enough to judge much of his policies yet. Beyond that, given the current situation I doubt his power to bring any significant improvement. I'll be happy if he doesn't invade any more countries.
