I'm with the OP. But If I can't run away to another country maybe I can disappear into the American wilderness and try to isolate myself from the Trump Mania?

Its a little more complicated. Many Scandinavians struggle with boredom as well and loneliness as unless you are a frontiersman there probably isn't a heck of a lot to do. When you throw in the dark winters and lack of sunlight it has an impact.

The tourist brochures only show us pictures of rolling landscapes, beautiful Fjords and pristine environments. But if you are born there you take it for granted.

Seems like wherever non autistic people are miserable works out better for us, Scandanavia, Japan, Thailand, Russia I have visited some of these places and have friends from other, they seem a bit more hospitable to us, but most of the people their are suicidal/depressed and nihilistic.

Don't forget visiting places is not the same as living there.

Agreed. I have found it much more fun to visit places than to live in them.

the rest of the world basically doesn't want anything but our money. those without money are totally SOL. nobody wants the poor. hell, even the poor don't want the poor. what a hellworld. that said, if Sweden would take pofolk me, i'd live there, even as a homeless. where i live the winters aren't much better. and i could definitely handle a Swedish summer. Costa rrRica at one time was inviting but COL has gone way up since too many amuuuuricans found out about it. Ecuador is the next big thing for ex-pats. there are 1.1 million of 'em in the tamer parts of Mexico, in enclaves. Canada or NZ or Australia would be my #1 choices, though.

Why Norway with the sh***y weather , piss poor selection of groceries (no dr Pepper , no Pepsi 4-pack , smooth peanut butter almost impossible to find - you eat Grandiosa cardboard pizza and only Coke , want something else , lol you can forget about it !) , cant even go out for dinner cuz its entirely too expensive , taxed to death on everything , again i ask - why ??)

Also theres a reason why people from Oslo are not in high regards outside of the city

Swiss is expensive but at least a better selection of groceries , even polish people say norwegian grocery stores reminds them of their own commie era due to the poor selection

Montana is fun to visit but I lived there and didn't like it.
