Non-transgender Men Being Allowed In Women's Bathroom!

It's not about sex (not mainly, anyway). It's about the deeply-ingrained and nearly-universal sense that genitals are private, and that being forced (in the case of schoolchildren) to allow someone of the opposite anatomical gender to see you naked is a profound violation of that most intimate and personal privacy.
It's not universal, it's cultural. In the future, it will be like in Battlestar Galactica, bathrooms and dressing rooms will be for all genders and no one will care.

I suspect that gender segregated bathrooms and locker rooms only make sense if you believe that nudity or semi-nudity are inherently sexual as long as you are in the presence/vicinity of someone of the opposite sex, and that everyone is heterosexual. (If that isn't the reason, then what is?)

I think the problem is that people don't think of trans-women as "real" women or trans-men as "real" men....if they were seen as "real" women or "real" men, then I think that saying "your genitals are the wrong shape to use our locker room" might be seen as somewhat similar to telling someone who has a disfiguring injury or a congential malformation of their limbs that they can't use the same locker room with people whose bodies look normal/typical.
A penis is not a deformed vagina.
Throughout middle and high school I used the locker room for seven years. I never once saw another kids genitals. The only time I think that would be an issue is for public showers. I know for me I would be just as uncomfortable whether or not a transgender male would be in the same locker room with me.
Besides all that I think one of the main reasons to segregate locker rooms and showers is to prevent kids from fooling around with each other. You know with all them hormones raging.

What if they were gay? Oh wait they wouldn't dare to do that because of homophobia.

I'm sure it's happened before. I know kids who snuck off and had sex in the school library. It's impossible to eliminate all the risks.

Speaking of locker rooms, I am sure a transgender wouldn't be comfortable dressing and undressing in there so they might request a private area to undress anyway and to shower privately. I don't think they would want someone to know their "true" gender.
There is a transgender student in my area suing to change in the female locker room. People are threatening to pull their daughters out of school over it.
People - quite similar in their stated beliefs and reasons - did the same when Ruby Bridges was first allowed to use the restrooms and locker rooms at William Frantz Elementary School. Some of the teachers even refused to teach her. One woman threatened to poison her. Her father lost his job, the grocery store the family shopped at would no longer let them shop there, and her grandparents were turned out of their rented home.

I really don't believe there's any relation between someone with a penis showering with teenage girls, and black students attending school with whites. It's apples and oranges, and if you think it's the same do you also support the idea that all people should be allowed to walk around naked? If not, why?

That is kind of a straw man argument.

The quote only mentioned bathrooms and locker rooms, not showers.

So what! We are talking about men having the right to enter women's restrooms where little girls are and the man behind this "movement" is a child molester. Now if you don't see what I'm getting at then I can't help you. I don't care if the guy is a Republican or a freaking Democrat for Christ's sake. He's a damn nut job!

And I'll say it again. Target, or anyone else who is behind this movement, don't want to meet halfway and make one whole unibathroom. Why is that? And now you have this crackpot that's behind the whole thing. They're just trying to cause trouble is all.
