Telepathy is not nonsense. My mother can send a message in her head to any of her kids to call her and within 30 minutes we call. I often feel this strong urge to call mom, so I do.

What is remarkable is that nobody has studied the rather obvious telepathic connections identical twins have with each other. My cousins are identical twins and I have conducted experiments where I have asked one to write down her thoughts and the other has not only read her mind but got every single word correct. In addition they can guess what the other is imagining in terms of visual images. Their hit rate for images is around 70% while words is as high as 90%.

Part of the reason that science deems this kind of thing nonsense is because of pure denial.
The scientific facts are there. only 3 percent of the light that enters our eyes is visable light. That means there is 97 percent of the world that we do not see. What is in that 97 percent?? Energy. What is more real 3 percent or 97 percent??
Any math professor will tell you that 97 percent is more complete than 3 percent. Yet the scientists that say that parapsychology is nonsense believe that 97 percent of our existance is totally irrelivant that only 3 percent is real.
Which I think is nonsense.

Kind of reminds me of a comedian who had spoofed the Time-Life books on the paranormal years ago:

"A woman feels a burning sensation in her hand. A hundred miles away, her daughter is giving her boyfriend a handjob."

We hope she doesn't develop a burning sensation in her mouth 8O

In this modern era we have entered a historical phase where scientific research is largely funded based on how your research will have commercial/industrial or health application with a smaller portion for humanitarian or environment/conservation purposes.

Scientists thus are forced to sing for their supper and prostitute their intellect for the service of government/big business. They are therefore job focused rather than following their interests. When you hear a scientist talk about adding to the body of knowledge or winning a Nobel prize there is an applied aspect to their work.

Scientists thus become very protective of their research expertise areas (like their turf) and frown on interlopers who try and question the paradigm they work in. Yes they ignore the 97% because they can't see what's there. In the modern scientific materialist paradigm that means if you can't neatly fit it into a established pigeonhole then "it can't exist".

I think the military is barking up the wrong tree.
There are so many more fakes than real telepaths out there and it is the fakes that we all know, because they are in it for the money/fame.
Those who are genuinely telepathic/psychic will keep it fairly quiet because they know they'd become a lifetime experiment for the military if they proved their abilities.

Leading edge (protoype) medical technology has enabled severely disabled to order machines carry out simple orders via computers with electrodes placed at various points around their head.
I'm guessing that the military is attempting a battlefield application of similar technology.

That sounds about right. The Army is not to seriously consider deploying men to Stare at Goats.

It's no secret. If the military wanted to run trials on telepathy they could just grab a few hundred identical twins.

No telepathy there either. Just a similar reaction to shared or joint stimuli.

There is no physical or biological basis to telepathy. It is a bogus concept.

Sorry witnessed it with my own two eyes. But don't take my word for it, find a pair of identical twins if you know a pair and convince them to try it for a laugh. Just take each twin in a different room ask one of them them to focus what the other is thinking and ask them to write down each other's thoughts. Get the twin to think about a statement that you have written down randomly so there is no possibility of collusion.

Also read up on some incredible coincidences about identical twins separated at birth who wear the same type of clothes, same preferences and end up in exactly the same jobs, marry the same type of people and even call their kids the same names. Please note they grow up in different households and experience different stimuli - no chance of shared responses to identical stimuli - yet the outcome is often same.

Proving that identicals think alike (gawd what a surprise). But this is no proof of information going from one brain to another by any other means but normal physical transfer of energy. You are confusing two completely different things.

but what are the biological chances that twins think the same thing at the same time??

Pretty small. The issue Ruyven hasn't addressed is that separated twins have different adopted parents with different occupations, different towns, different families, different schools, different friends, different peer groups, eat different food, play different sport and likely watch different media growing up.

Basically (and this is the kicker) they experience different environmental stimuli so there is no chance of shared experience to identical stimuli. Despite this the twins who find each other often after many years are shocked to discover they have been driven to like exactly the same things, and marry people with the same names and find themselves in the same occupations etc. While it's ostensibly feasible these preferences are genetic coded, the lack of common environmental stimuli make it highly unlikely that these choices were arrived at without some psychic connection.

For instance I know of twins in the US who both had adopted parents who were university educated and professional class. Yet both twins fought against their parents and followed their passions and Independently became fire fighters. Ruyven would have us believe that somehow becoming a firefighter is genetically coded in our DNA....I beg to differ. The probability of coincidence here is a billion to one.

ya I heard of the twin studies that evolutionary psychologists are saying that is due to biological, however the psychic take on it could explain it more thoroughly, unless our genes control every thought we have, which is unlikely...maybe possible. I dunno. If that is the case, we have no free will whatsoever. However the twin studies are damning to free will psychic or biological.

We have evolved an ability to create paradigms in life, and it is probably more difficult for a scientist with a systemizing mind to move out of paradigms than it is for those that have less rigid ways of thinking. At least that what the science that studies us suggests. Humans are the most difficult area of study, because we don't have the ability to completely step outside of ourselves for an objective analysis.

What we lose at times, with rigid thinking, is common sense. What we lose at times without rigid thinking is a healthy dose of guidelines in life.

The best thing about psi experiments, is they suggest that we don't understand reality, as well as we think we do with our current methods of science. If as scientists we seek what is behind what we understand as reality, it's a good indication that there is a great deal more work for us to do, and the eventual answer may be, is what we know now, is only a tiny piece of all the potential elements involved.

Meanwhile, some of us can continue to enjoy curiosity over what has not been fully explored and understood by science. Eventually scientists may have to accept that there are just somethings that can be clearly demonstrated, that we just don't have the scientific tools to explain. In this case it may be a matter of scientists having faith in a natural force that is yet to be determined or admitting there is paranormal phenomeon. I have a feeling they will go with the faith in a yet to be determined natural force.

Be sure to write and tell us about it when it is discovered.
