Empathy = stupid NT stuff that does nothing but make people behave in the manner of an emotional slave

"Heart" = subjective emotionally pretentious stuff

See, I have empathy and a heart. It's just different to yours. You feel bad for them, I feel humor.

I think the latter is better, morally and objectively, as it'll allow it to blow over and people won't feel as bad in the end.

if you really think it's morally better to laugh at people who've been publicly violated, then i have nothing else to say to you.

I never said I don't respect the privacy of anyone (I respect privacy above all; I can't stand people that talk about others and reveal things that are confided in) -- I said I'll laugh at the humor that I see in things, things I see as superficial and hilarious based on how people respond.

This is of course if you equate "respecting the privacy" to mean, never revealing something about someone.

What if said laughing equates to them feeling better? I'd feel a lot better if people made it to be humorous if I were one of them (and I cared about silly chastity).

Laughing at someone doesn't mean you're negative towards them. It can mean you see the greater social humor to it, and the absurdity of chastity.

there is no "greater social humor" to someone being publicly violated--and yes, the actors have expressed feeling pretty violated by what happened. do you understand the concept of violation, like do you get what that word means? i assure you that you laughing about what happened to these women, if they knew you were laughing, would NOT make them feel better, and i think you know that and are just trying to be an awful dick because that's what you find amusing, so i don't know why i'm bothering. this will be my last reply to you.

Sure, people can feel bad for things, but it's equally valid for people to feel better from different types of "empathy".

Sure again, their privacy was violated, and that's not in contention.

So, if I was one of them, and it made me feel better if it's was made to be more glossed over and "ha ha", would I be wrong? The greater social humor being that people are perhaps making it worst for them by not making it lighter.

The questions that baffles me, are (1) WHY did she take nude photos of herself in the first place? and (2) why store such images in the cloud where they are vulnerable to not just hacking but employees (system admins) of the cloud services looking at them anyway? Just seems dumb behaviour to me.

Sure I blame the criminals who hacked her account, but why was she putting nude photos of herself in such an exposed environment in the first place? It is comparable to keeping your life savings in the form of cash, stuffed into a briefcase and left permanently on the passenger seat of a Mercedes in a public car park. What could possibly go wrong?

Practically every week brings news of a new major hacking breach. I don't believe any place online or in any device that connects to some system is really safe.

These thefts, from individuals, groups of millions of people, companies and countries does not look stoppable to me. I think at some point it will cause major changes to the internet, and perhaps the end of the WWW as we know it.

Convicted hackers that do prison time should not have access to any technology newer then a sundial and hour glass.

Nope that sounds far more like sociopathy. Viewing emotion as a symptom of slavery is only justifying exploitation. Actually getting off on the pain of others is definitely messed up.

Private sexual expression.

People blindly having faith in a product. Most just assume there are checks and balances in place.

No it isn't.. it would be more comparable to leaving it on a seat in a locked private garage.

I said "public car park" because the internet is the ultimate public car park, with online accounts potentially accessible to anyone in the world with internet access.

I also said "Mercedes" because it stands out more from other, cheaper cars, much in the same way celebrity's accounts are more attractive to hackers than ordinary users. The Mercedes boast lots of anti-theft and security measures, as does the cloud; yet both are vulnerable to blunt force attacks - a rock through the window will gain access to the briefcase in the Mercedes and running password attack software against celeb's accounts will strike pay-dirt if they've used simple passwords. Both a suitcase visible inside a Mercedes and a celebrities online account will attract a lot of extra attention from criminals.

I blame Kate Upton for having delicious big nipples and a beautiful chest. I blame Jennifer Lawrence for looking lovely. If they weren't as hot as they are none of this would be news. But a lovely body is just nature, a work of art. Why not share it with the world?

Satire, I call it. I meant no offense, truly.

What do I really think of the hacking scandal? Well, it's a risk you take when you send nudes over the internet. It's a shame these things happen but when you take nudes and send them, there's always a risk of them ending up in the wrong hands... so why take that risk? I think it's much ado about nothing. It happened, people saw the pics. Done & done, let's move on.

IMO, both sides are to blame. Celebrities who take naked selfies of themselves & thinking they can get away with it and the hackers who take pride in wanting to ruin the careers of celebrities.
