this person looked trained

Yep

Slicing the pie, suppressive fire, fire and movement all in a swift action; definitely someone that trains more than just sending lead downrange.

I'd be going trained IS if it wasn't for some mitigating factors (it still could be, but probably not).

WARNING GRAPHIC

the whole video is longer and shows the killer moving around before the cop hides behind that pillar there

this looks like a terrorist, not somebody just angry

Accurate fire, appear to have training, and killing cops at a BLM rally. That's really an odd combination, maybe disgruntled ex-military?

Ex.mil with urban combat/house to house training or trained by the same, or at least read up on it and practiced enough.

Probably worked up for some type of planned violence for some time. Probably locals that know the area (though, training can mitigate this). The recent police shootings were a good time to put those plans in place if that's their grievance.

He made mistakes (which is why I'd be hesitant of saying anything over basic .mil with some urban combat training), but definitely not a simple gang member.

What I wanna know is, Do these 4 gunmen have any other confederates? If so, are these confederates planning to attack more targets or perhaps bust the 4 gunmen out of jail?

The way this shooting was carried out makes me wonder if there isn't a larger organization that planned and coordinated the attacks which is ready to carry out more. If so, we may be headed for widespread civil strife.

My perception of this country's politics has changed a lot in the past week and I'm worried about what may transpire.

Police chief said that there was 4 people working together, triangulated sniper fire from multiple elevated positions when the original shootings began. 3 men, 1 woman. 3 in custody, 1 currently in firefight with police.

the suspect is claiming to have planted bombs all over downtown Dallas

this honestly seems like ISIS

I've corrected the title.

Jesus. 4 attackers makes the situation even worse and the claimed planting of bombs is ominous in light of what just happened.

Do we know anything about any of these attackers?

The Australian is covering this attack on their website:

EDIT: Never mind. Just hit a paywall when I tried to get back on. You can get live updates on this thread.

ISIS was telling lone wolves a couple weeks ago to also use bombs with the guns. I believe I posted the article in the ISIS thread.

And when I went to bed last night I thought the US political situation could barely get any more f***ked up..

Anyway, there is apparently an active stand-off with one of the shooters as I type:

Possible, though it sorta isn't their thing going solely after a hard target, and also surrendering. I did read they released a memo saying to avoid targeting minorities in the US, so..., you could angle it in a way that would be beneficial for them without mass civilian causalities (police are civilians, but that's beside the point).

Whomever they are, they planned for something in advance, and it was sprung at a specific time with specific targets in a specific location, perhaps all within a couple of days of improvisation (if the rally wasn't known beforehand).

I'd bet on disgruntled blacks (ex .mil), possibly members of a black supremacist group in that area.
