He won't be the last.

Someday, America will have a president who won't use drones and won't suck up to Wall Street.

Nobody will worship Obama after that.

What are the chances the cops would arrest 63 white people over a bag of weed?

White people in my state have been arrested for weed... Nothing to do with skin color, it was the weed. Why is this a race issue and not legalization of weed issue?

**I did not watch the young turds video.

White people are more likely to use illegal drugs and get away with it.

Statistically, black Americans tend to get harsher punishments for the same crimes. Not everyone can emotionally handle this truth, but it is a truth.

They pointed this out in the video. Perhaps you should have watched it.

Are you trying to be satirical? I never said that.

I've been very critical of Barack Obama in the past. Older users here know this. Obama is better than Bush and Trump, but that isn't saying much.

Okay, I just watched the video and I am not surprised. They conveniently left out lots of details and inputted their poorly based opinion to fit their narrative. Typical crap the "Young" Turds do... It doesn't take long to see their not telling you the entire story. The house wasn't theirs and something they rented just for the party. Had a loud banging party and pissed off the neighbors. Had about 100 people in a relatively small house, in a closely packed neighborhood. Drugs, alcohol, and firearms present at the party. Neighbors called 911 claiming they heard gunshots. So the cops are already pumping with adrenaline and alert. Cops show up and see people fleeing, drinking and drugs use (both visually and smell it). They also found minors on the scene and again, firearms. Along with drug paraphernalia throughout the first floor of the house.

This can be confirmed with just quick search and reading local articles...

WSB-TV 2

Quote:
Ten of the at least 70 people arrested during a 21st birthday party over the weekend spoke exclusively to Channel 2 Action News for the first time since the incident.

Cartersville police said officers responded to a call of apparent gunshots fired early Sunday morning and something led them to believe that party goers had drugs on them.

The ages of the people arrested range from 15 to 31 years old.

On Monday, a parent of one of the party goers told Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes she is furious because police arrested everyone since no one would claim the drugs.

Deja Heard rented the home where the party was held through Air BnB to celebrate her 21st birthday.

"I’m very sorry it happened, all of us are innocent – it's just not right," she said.

The party goers said police were checking things out when they smelled marijuana in the front yard. They told us police didn't have a warrant at that point but they said two officers entered the home anyway.

In a news release sent to Channel 2 Action News on Tuesday, police said they obtained a warrant and found two stolen guns, marijuana individually packaged and several smoking devices throughout most of the first-floor rooms. Individually packaged suspected cocaine and cocaine-related paraphernalia were also located upon initial contact with multiple subjects, the release said.

During a sit-down interview with Fernandes on Tuesday, the attendees described being mistreated by officers. They claimed they were tied up with zip ties, threatened with tasers and hauled off to jail. Some of the men said they were locked in cages at the jail.

"I was told we were just being detained; one of the officers said we’re putting you in a van to keep y’all warm," said Austen Davis.

Another attendee, a pregnant woman, said she was verbally abused and mistreated in jail.

"I was throwing up water," she said. "The whole saying 'innocent until proven guilty' went out the window. They told me I was an unfit person to have a baby."

The attendees told Fernandes they spent nearly three days in jail for nothing. Many of them lost their jobs and now they're afraid they'll end up with a criminal record.

"I’m about to graduate college this semester so it was kinda embarrassing, I had my cousin with me, he’s in the military so it just sucked we had to go through it that way," said Dakelin Wells.

Along with the attorneys representing the young people arrested, the NAACP is now involved.

The Daily Tribune News

Quote:
More information has been released by the Cartersville Police Department and the Cartersville-Bartow County Drug Task Force regarding the 60-plus arrests made around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Cartersville.

According to a DTF press release, agents seized two firearms (one reported stolen from Detroit, Michigan), individually packaged marijuana and several smoking devices during the search of the first-floor rooms of the home at 2 Cain Drive.

According to the release, several individuals also were found with suspected cocaine and cocaine-related paraphernalia.

The DTF release said all of the subjects at the home were arrested for possession of the suspected marijuana because it was within everyone’s reach or control.

Everyone arrested was transported to the Bartow County Jail by multiple transport vans.

According to the DTF, many of the people arrested refused to reveal their identities, causing a delay in the booking process, which was not completed until 5 p.m. Monday after everyone arrested was issued a bond amount.

The ages of those arrested ranged from 15-31 years old.

The Cartersville Police Department said in a Tuesday press release that it turned the investigation over to the DTF due to the number of people inside the residence, the firearm found and the evidence of widespread drug usage.

According to the CPD press release, “It has been a long-standing policy of the Cartersville Police Department that drug investigations routine patrol officers encounter are referred to the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force.

“This current policy is now under review for any further drug investigations.”

WSB-TV reported Deja Heard rented the home where the party was held through Air BnB to celebrate her 21st birthday party. A flyer advertised the party as her “21st sexy Christmas lingerie/pajama party.”

"I’m very sorry it happened, all of us are innocent — it's just not right," Heard told WSB-TV.

Neighbors called cops and reports disturbance, with possible gunfire. Cops investigate, confirms laws have been broken and collects evidence. Suspects get arrested and they have their day in court. Cops just doing their job...

I figured there was a lot more involved than just a little bag of weed.

^ The ONLY things out of the ordinary for a big NYE party are the guns - but those aren't exactly out of the ordinary for anywhere in the USA.. so I guess it's only the stolen gun that's f****d up. Where I come from, ANY guns at a party would be f****d up.. but it's not like I never saw any at the worst bar I worked at, hell 2 different bars lol.

People, drugs, alcohol, sex etc - these are all party things. It was a bangin' party and people PARTIED!

Guns aside, the ONLY reason these people were arrested was for partying while Black. Period. It's true & it's disgusting.

I'll be honest, I have more weed sitting next to my computer right now (shh, don't tell Jeff Sessions). Arresting 30+ people for that is ludicrous. The cost to the local government just to book that many people and jail them for a few days is 100x what the street value of that weed is worth, easily. The police department needs to get their collective heads checked.

I remember Chumlee from Pawn Stars who's white and rich had a very similar experience after very similar things were found in his house. They were making a huge deal over an unregistered (but not stolen) gun that was found.

Yeah, but wasn't there more to that story? Methamphetamine and something about inappropriate sexual relations with a minor. He wasn't busted for being white with drugs. He was busted for being a perv - the investigation was about the sexual assault allegations. They just happened to find marijuana, meth, and a gun when they went after him for being a perv.

Did they arrest everyone in his home too?

The drugs and firearms were a separate issue and what they were saying he was facing potential jail time for, so he was busted for that.

The the sexual assault allegations went nowhere. I didn't come across anything about a minor being involved. The only thing I found in search was, "A records search for Austin Russell in Clark County courts turns up only minor traffic offenses."
