At least Mike Pence acts more "presidential" and mostly keeps his mouth shut.

I guess even a fanatic wouldnt be as bad as a megalomaniac.

Pence would be coming in with just two years left, so hopefully he couldn't do too much harm.

I think impeachment is tremendously dangerous to the country. On the international side, it would leave USA without credible leadership of any kind. Impeachment (and replacement) takes time, during which the country would be weak. Not worth it. It's agony, but wait for the election.

So the President is above the law, and can like Trump said, shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and get away with it.

I remember him making that quote. That specific quote was why I hated him from the start. Because he's actually right.

From what I read, Representative Al Green from Texas, the congressman who brought the motion to impeach, said it's a first step. I believe he said that if he feels it's necessary, he'll bring the motion to impeach again and again. Maybe it will gain traction on the second, third, fourth, fifth, etc time around?

Based on the way things have gone I expect there to be a series of impeachment attempts. I am only 'surprised' it did not start earlier.

So that will be our government woking overtime focusing on failing investigations and hearings while seemingly putting most everything else off to the side and on the back burner.
