Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.

We are very happy to learn that our brothers are alive and well!
But Russian propaganda is trying to promote the "news" that the Ukrainian authorities have allegedly "forgotten" and "buried" their subordinates.

Am in awe of those Ukrainians on that Island . And now will risk some animosity’s here but , news here has
Stated that 500,000 Ukrainians has escaped to Poland …. In light of the acts of bravery by other Ukrainians .
It confuses me , ? If 500,000 more people entered the fight on the side of Ukraine . It surely would be helpful in defending that country ! . Reminds of during various police actions by the US . US Soldiers encountered something ca
Called Human wave assaults . Where opposing troops would merely continually step over dead comrade in
Rushing the American defensive lines , Eventually we had abandoned that veitNamese country. So perhaps imagine
500,000 more humans assaulting Russian Positions . Am not sure it would make a difference . But it certainly would display defiance ?

So half a million unarmed women and children should throw themselves at the invaders?

Uhh, Jakki, the people suitable for doing the fighting have been banned from leaving Ukraine,
"
all Ukrainian men between the ages of 18 and 60 are now banned from leaving the country.
"
https://indianexpress.com/article/trend ... r-7790914/
Quote:
“The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports that due to the imposition of martial law in Ukraine, a certain category of citizens is temporarily restricted from leaving Ukraine,” the country’s interior ministry announced.
The ban is aimed at “guaranteeing Ukraine’s defence and the organisation of timely mobilisation,” DPSA said. The president has also encouraged Ukrainian citizens willing to fight to come forward and promised weapons for anyone who wants them. The country’s defence minister, Oleksiy Reznikov, has called on anyone with a Ukrainian passport to enlist in the army.

I don't even want to know the logic that led him to type that. I honestly don't!

Stalin: the Epitome of Evil-----At least on a part with Hitler.

Yeltsin was a drunk. He was sort of okay as a local-area leader.

I would say Gorbachev was very much like De Klerk in South Africa.

Both were part of, and grew up in, their respective "systems."

Both knew the end was inevitable-----of Apartheid and the USSR.

"Good" may not be the best term to use when talking about stalin.
I would use "psychopathically ruthless", myself. 8)

Did anyone die on Snake Island at all?
It doesn't diminish the heroic defiance, in my book. 8)
