Trump's "poisoning the blood" remark

I did pose that question back in 2015 when Trump won the republican primaries based largely on two platforms. He would bring imaginary jobs back to America from China (even those voting for him couldn't have believed his claims) and secondly he would keep Mexicans and other undesirables out of America. The latter around building a wall on the Mexican border was what propelled him to stardom with the republican voting base.

The actual reasons why 75 million Americans were swayed to vote for him remains a point of contention. But the positive response of the Iowa republicans surveyed following his "poisoning of the blood" comment must surely be a window into the minds of current republicans. Are they only hiding behind the first amendment in justifying Trump being entitled to say what he likes because they tolerate his openly racist comments OR do they tacitly endorsee his comments?

Either way, it comes off as deplorable.

Who knew the fall of the world’s current greatest empire could be so soon and rapid? I mean, we joke about it.. but seriously; a bunch of these morons are trying to vote to Make it happen.


I'm hoping my country - or at least a bare majority of her inhabitants - will do the right thing and vote Trump right back into the courtroom.

Didja ever notice that the only logical defense of Trump's idiotic blathering is that he is within his rights to issue it?

Never mind that it makes no sense. Forget that it is never reality-based. The mere fact that he has the right to speak seems to be the only reason he ever says anything.
