who called Winston Churchill the most evil man alive during WWII.
Actually a lot of people in India would agree with that statement. He was a real racist piece of s**t to their people. Just ask any of them.
That is definitely true. Churchill was hardly the angel who popular history portrays him as. Still, I doubt Carlson's guest who made that statement had that in mind when attacking Churchill. Rather, he was making Hitler out to be the misunderstood world leader, compared to the monster Churchill who somehow manipulated the Nazis into war.
The more I read about the 'heroes' of WW2 like Churchill and McArthur the more I realize they were all monsters too. But as they say, history is written by the victors so they get painted out to be these noble heroes that they never really were.
But that said I agree that anybody who tries to make Hitler out to be a misunderstood great leader should raise serious red flags for all.
Just like the tankies who are idealizing Mao, Castro, and Stalin all of a sudden. It's deeply disturbing when people deliberately try to rationalize and put history's greatest monsters on a pedestal.
