How can people be so brutal with refugees, really?

I tell the truth if you take it as trolling that's a misinterpretation on your end. Like I said, man up, grow a pair, and give me a real argument, not the tired wishy washy BS stuff you've thrown out so far-- because to be honest it's not worth my time hearing you regurgitate talking points I've already heard on clear channel. I claim the overarching reason you don't like immigration or in this case refugees is personal greed. You say it's self-preservation. I call BS, you live in a country where self-preservation due to lack of resources hasn't been a valid argument since the industrial revolution. Prove me wrong. Balls in your court.

Edit: if you're concerned about the tone, well tough nuts, that's the tone your side uses and I'm adopting it for this one, so just get over it already.

But despite my un-nutted, time-wasting childishness you STILL reply. Trying that hard to vindicate yourself must be tiresome.

This from someone that admits they don't have very many refugees where they live and therefor won’t have to deal with it.
Your words:

Refugees specifically, no, we don't get many of those in southwest Colorado.

Gets back to the high horse thing that you keep validating for me.
Thanks.

Nuts and balls sure seem to occupy your mind a lot.
Concern? Don’t flatter yourself. Your tone is a welcome change. I haven’t had anyone with any spunk to spar with in three years. Keep it up.

Look back at my posts from 2011-12 and sample some of my finer handiwork.

So, are you bragging or complaining? Or are you just being a typical narcissistic ass?

If you're referring to my comment about past handiwork those posts are mostly all in PPR where people don't go to be coddled.
Narcissistic? That's a first.
Now, I have had a few people in PPR call me or refer to me as a "sick sociopath" and a few other cherished labels but not yet a narcissist.
Thank you for giving me something else to add to my dossier. :D

More's the pity on you. You're sounding more like one of my roommates, whom I'm trying to get evicted. He's diagnosed ADHD, but that doesn't give him an excuse to act like a rude asswipe. I seldom leave my room now because of his antics (as well as protect my property, since he's been known to take my stuff, whether it be food, my iPad, my iPhone, my Mac Mini server (which is my music composition workstation), my iPod or my car keys and car, with or without my permission. I've been nothing but nice to this guy, and he treats me like sh!t. I've had a few other so-called friends treat me like sh!t lately, and I'm damn near fed up! If I'm lucky, I might be able to get into senior public housing in a few years in York, Lancaster, Gettysburg, Carlisle, or Chambers-burg. I'm also tired of his bitching because he can't stand his job (he works as a clerk in a convenience store. Before that, he worked for Animal Control and a personal trainer at Gold's Gym, of which he was fired from both jobs, and he purposely is trying to get fired from this job. Many a times in the past few weeks I was ready to tell him to shut the f!ck up, suck it up and just do the damn duties of his job without complaining and with a forced smile on his face. I didn't say anything because he has already told me he has no respect for me, the other roommates here in the house, or his coworkers. As a matter of fact, he considers me the most negative person around. Never mind, that I'm 38 years his senior, his opinion is I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground. Right now, if I had a meat cleaver, I'd be using it on his, as well as a few other people's, heads.

Of course, what do you care? You've already labeled me as a panty-waist wimp who'd be better off living in a nanny state....

Well, I won't stand down from an insult and put my tail between my legs. I'll either toss one back atcha or even expand upon it like I've done in this case.
You can't beat The Rap. :P

So keep your stuff locked up in YOUR room. If he steals your car that would be auto theft which is a felony that carries up to 7 years in PA.
Stealing your food? Make up a batch of Exlax brownies and leave them where he'll find them. He won't be able to get off the can for a few days.

Where did i label you as a pantywaste wimp? Go back and find it please. If I said you belong in a nanny state (I have been known to tell people that) it was only because you implied that you needed or wanted to live in one.

PS: Are you and Aristophanes trying to get this thread locked?

That avatar came from, IIRC, a megahit album from some 1960's acid rock group, the name I can't remember right now.

Admitting your a racist is only the first step, there's still like 11 more, don't be so proud of yourself just yet.

Sorry bro, I'm not gay so you'll have to look elsewhere. Not that there's anything wrong with that and I'm not judging you for your sexual preferences. That being said if you're not familiar with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon that actually makes me feel really good-- shows some things can actually repel ignorance.

Well then, we're at standstill, because I'm not backing down to an insult either. I've been around enough people like you to know you're all show and no substance, why on earth would I back down to you? I mean you haven't answered a single question I've asked, you've been dodging the debate since page 2, I mean all the lurkers here what do you think they see? You think they see some tough alpha prototype? Hell no, they see a dude dodging the questions like a slimy politician would.

Fine. However, one of these days you're going to insult the wrong person. Next thing you know, No Raptor.

You implied as such when you suggested I go live in a nanny state.

Now that you mentioned it....

As far as I'm concerned, this thread has devolved to ad hominem attacks. Godwin's law is being invoked now.

Well yeah, if he's not backing down and I'm not backing down it's either go all the way or lock it up. I'd much rather go all the way because I have the winning hand, but I understand the concern the mods may have.

Doesn't explain you hopping back and forth from the US to Europe that you've been doing on this.

1. Every time someone expresses an opinion you don't agree with, you come back with an insult. It gets old and moldy after a while.

2. Take that implication any way you want!

It's too damn late for me to find it. I'm having enough problems trying to sleep, no thanks to allergies, heartburn, and a flare up of colitis. Besides, I've already invoked Godwin's law, so why is this flame fest still continuing?

If said refuges are worth the time of day they'll make it despite the hardships. When my ancestors came here from Germany and Ireland it was during the times when people were fleeing both countries in droves making them refugees. They were treated like the scum of the earth in this country but made something of themselves despite the adversities they faced. I don't see how it's much different now.

I'm inclined to side with the right wing on this one. Developed countries have quality of life standards that are threatened when faced with an influx of refugees. I think temporary asylum based on risk to life is justifiable but I don't understand the logic why Syrian muslims (who can safely live in other muslim countries) would try and bypass safe passage and get into "infidel" dominated countries? can only be economic reasons and this is not justifiable and should be blocked, otherwise it will strain social services of western countries to breaking point.

The ME is awash with oil. The Saudis who manage the Islamic world are corrupt as hell. And the rest of the world beyond the muslim world which is also globalising at a phenomenal rate, from China to India and the West in between, needs that oil. Islam remains marooned in Biblical economics and will be a while reforming in order to join the globalising train...in the meantime, throwbacks such as ISIS are running around the place like halfwits trying to reinvent the past...the Muslim refugee problem will be around for at least the next decade...there is no way that borders can go up as the markets would rebel and cripple global business...thus I suggest getting used to the demographic instability that has yet to run itself out.

Protectionists are out of touch with reality. There is no way anyone, even Trump can stop a borderless world. If Trump for example tried, his wealth would evaporate so ignore these people and watch them learn a lesson when Trump, if he is elected, does a U turn literally overnight.
