I think people continuing to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer, wearing masks or face coverings, continuing as much social distancing as possible when possible, not shaking hands etc will be quite effective.
And lets face it, tens of millions have been around each other in grocery stores this whole time. Plus those working hundreds thousands of essential jobs this whole time.
So it certainly was never actually a full quarantine.
Problem is here like much of the USA people aren’t doing thst. If we reopen the attend events with thousands of people close together, they go back to work no mask, no hand washing no sanitizer. Cases will rise again and the health industry will be overwhelmed and a 2nd lockdown will begin.
Locally our cases haven’t slowed down. Meanwhile I see in news that tins of meat plants are having crap ton of cases, yet now when it’s on rise is the time to open back. f**k that. What’s happening at the meat plants will happen at every single work environment if we reopen.
Sorry but given people can’t take simple precautions when they’re forced to i don’t expect they’re take any precautions when not forced to.
Just like serial killers don’t stop killing until their arrested. You can’t expect them or most people to do the good thing, humans are selfish at heart. That’s why we need government to make them be good.
