The above will never happen.

I have never approved of "putting the boot in" when someone is down. This is a time for mutual encouragement. America is going through tough times and my heart is heavy for what they are dealing with. Let's hope there is a semblence of unity within the American political ranks when things get better.

It would be nice if partisan bs was put aside during the crisis. But with election time being a few months away, it's not going to happen. Quite the opposite actually.

I swear, if a Democrat and a Republican found themselves in the same sinking boat, they would both declare that the other one caused the leak and is thwarting any attempts to stop it (or to bail out the water).

Meanwhile, the circling sharks keep getting closer...

Diversifying Canada’s dependency on the USA as a trading partner and ally isn’t “putting the boot in.” It’s a smart move. If they’re going to go down, why should we be tethered at the waist and go down with them? Canada would be smart to make sure we have other trading partners and allies to work with just in case the USA devolves into one big mess. If they can sort their s**t out and stay afloat, they’ll be able to do it on their own with their 8.5X the population we have.

The party of trump sure is being partisan. The Democrats need to actually fight fire with fire and be far more partisan in their campaign if they want to have a fighting chance of beating trump in November. Being soft never won a US election. That’s the way your country’s political system operates.

If?

We already saw that show with the impeachment. The ‘hole remains in office.

We are a strong nation. We are not going to sink. We won’t let that happen.

Canada can do what it wants to do.

Yeah, the US has had rabble-rousing populist presidents before and come through it.
Jackson & Nixon spring to mind.
