There are less deaths percentage-wise, true....but there's still lots of serious disease floating around.

We had a backlog, about March and April, of about a month in NYC from the funeral service to the actual cremation----because of a pileup of the deceased caused by COVID.

Did NYC run out of beds? Were people dying in hospital parking lots because there were no beds for them? Most everything had a massive slowdown placed on it because of covid.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/leadin ... -death.htm
Here is the link. or you can Just go to CDC.gov and search for causes of death.
This is not denial that Covid 19 is real but perspective needs to be taken as this is being blown up to hysterical heights by the media and governments.

That's exactly the page I linked. It contains 2017 data.
It's still good for the purpose of comparison.
Now, where did you get the covid deaths number?

Yep. I agree with everyone wearing masks and carrying hand sanitizer. But it doesn't need to be taken much further than that.

I'm sure it was just a typo but it caused quite a confusion.

We're not "all doomed." I'm certainly not in "panic mode." I'm back at my job. I take precautions, even though I already had COVID back in March. We have to take action on the resurgence of COVID in the present.

As for New York: The hospitals were filling up in April. We had to have the federal government deploy a hospital ship to NY Harbor. We had beds made up in a big convention center. Hotels were asked to lend out their rooms for the homeless and for potential COVID patients.

It's not like that in NYC now----but if we're not careful, it could very be "like that." It's not "like that" because we took stringent measures.

I've ran out of panic mode in April.
Things are bad, at least in my city, overwhelming of the healthcare system is only starting now, but panic won't help.
I wash my hands more than I would normally. I wear a face mask. I avoid public transport. I stay at home even with minor cold. I may cancel my plans to visit older family members in person.

There is quite a lot of space between "it's a hoax" and "we're all doomed". How about "it's a problem to deal with"?

I believe Trump started it, he actually said how it was being handled was a hoax and it got taken out of context to mean he was calling the virus a hoax. He didn't. He just downplayed it and admitted it months later because "he didn't want to cause a panic." I watched him say it live about it being a hoax. Watching his speech on the virus made me hate him more and think less of people who are still supporting him after that speech.

Yet we are being told by the media and government that this is the deadliest pandemic in modern history?

Agreed :-D

Great.
The internet is great on it.

We've identified that the number of Covid deaths in this post differs from the source it uses by a factor of 10.
But once a claim was released, falsifying it does not stop it from spreading.
Just like the vaccine autism thing :|

Karma got him back though. He got nailed with it and felt a little under the weather for a couple days.

Trump was lucky the doctors were right on it.

When I had COVID, all the doctors told me to do was to stay home, drink plenty of fluids, take lots of Tylenol, and only call if I have such trouble breathing that I can't move a muscle without having trouble breathing. And don't call them.....go straight to the emergency room.

And I understood why. There were many more much more seriously ill people that they had to take care of. NYC had about 25,000 deaths by April.

It started as soon as covid started. It became yet another thing to be denied by the anti-science right bc it is electorally and ideologically inconvenient.
It would not have been nearly as bad as if, for example, it was Romney in the White House, and not the thin-skinned, conspiracy-peddling, egomaniacal moron we have today.
