maybe they wanted to but didn't have the funds/intelligence to do so, they might even see it as the nicest thing they could have done for their children... there are some pretty strange people out there, i gues we'll never know for certain.

It's not a matter of changing their names.. that's not the issue. It's the fact they named them that in the first place!

That'd be great if this kid turns out rebelling against his family because of the name they gave him, and ends up becoming a champion of Jewish rights and causes! :thumleft: He could even make his slogan, "Just because I'm Adolf Hitler doesn't mean I don't love the Jews and hate Nazi guts!"

That would be awesome:

As one of my favourite blog websites put it: "You need a licence to drive, but to become parents ..."
I really hope these idiot parents have relatives who'll take custody of the kids away from them. Judging by the way they named them, there's a pretty good chance anybody else could raise them better.

there is a positive way of looking at this, due to their names yu know they comes from a racist background and that they're probably being taught all kind of white supremacy lectures and teachings. think about it, would the world be a lot easier to understand if every racist family named their children 'Hitler' or 'white power' so you knew who to avoid?

It's just a name.... :?

If there was no Adolf Hitler before him, there would be no problem. People would have no problem writing his name on cakes, he most likely wouldn't get bullied, and there would probably be far more people with his name.

But, since there was, I do think it was a pretty dumb idea for the parents to name their kid that. I think they just wanted some attention.

the parents wanted the world to know that they think whites are the only decent people (even thought they obviously prove they're one of the lowest classes themselves), the only reason for naming their children those names is to be offensive, which is why people are getting offended.

in a way you could say it's for attention, but the wrong sort nevertheless.

But people are free to believe what they choose to, and to express those beliefs in ways that do not directly harm others.

However, I wonder if giving a certain name or having a certain name could ever legally get one accused of a hate crime? I guess it would depend on local laws and the exact circumstances . . .

it's illegal in some countries to name a child something that could cause them harm or social discomfort, but i doubt naming a child something along these lines could count as a hate crime :? if they tried naming their kids 'kill all blacks' there might have been legal implications.

Where are the American lawyers who frequent this forum?

I thought I saw a few posts from one somewhere around here . . .

against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain...;)

There's no national law against stupid names (but there's 50 states to keep track of), but I'm sure there's a host of relatives, neighbors, etc., that are going to object to children being used as a political statement.

Those poor kids are going to have to take so much crap because of their names when they get older. Those parents need to be dropkicked.

who knows, the family might be the same and think it's a good thing, or their family has nothing to do with them...

i think when people like this prove their racist or discriminitive they should be made to suffer for i so that the children don't have to, this is child abuse and so the parents should be arrested.
