Guy in garage still refusing to surrender - still saying that there are bombs all over Dallas.

From what I have been able to gather, the police have so far suggested that there were 2 active shooters...

But there has been no confirmation so far that any of the 3 other suspects in custody (a woman and 2 men) was the 2nd shooter... so one could be at large *and* unaccounted for...

Garage guy is "down" possibly shot himself.

At least 4 shooters and possibly more is what I'm hearing.

Doubt there's more than 2 actual shooters.

I'd go with 1. Easier to explain a lone wolf (with some insider knowledge), and none of the feats were out of the realm of 1 trained individual.

A couple of curious things...

Firstly one of the suspects had warned there were “bombs all over the place in this garage and in downtown". He later shot himself. Secondly two of the suspects were driving a black Mercedes...

President Obama is currently being briefed on the the sniper's motives? This seems planned and is unlikely to be a spontaneous response to shootings given the second one was only 24hrs ago...so question is who are these snipers?

I agree on disgruntled blacks. I don't think IS actually. Specifically, trained by Black Panthers. They ARE a quasi-military group remember, and violence is their creed. And they "plan" ahead of time.
Not even proper revenge. I doubt the young female cop ever was in any racially charged incident to require retaliation. She wasn't a patrolman or detective even.

They better stow that end is coming sht. The current climate is very hostile to a "black insurrection" kind of macho BS
Meanwhile, poor everyday Joe middle class black guy is gonna have people he has spoke with daily giving him the wall eye at Starbucks if he is dressed anything but prep school casual.


All that said? my paranoia of govt says that slowly they are prepping the stage for a "justified" national martial law and these ignorant savage rebels with no just cause are just playing right into an expert trap.

As an aside, I've been watching various angles of the one video.

I don't think he's as trained as he first appears; I picked up mistakes from the side on video, but they're majorly evident in the one closer to the cop's position. He just chose the right side, because most people do due to it being their dominant hand/shoulder; he charged and got lucky.

With it looking like 2 shooters in the vertical garage that kicked it off, I'm going with basic disgruntled individuals that caught unprepared police out in the open from a vantage point (most of the casualties came from this initial ambush). One ended up on the street and started that ground level firefight, possibly returning to the garage. The other may have stayed in the garage the whole time.

(Not that my opinion has any specific weight, of course. I just like analyzing things.)

CNN is reporting that police is questioning one "light-skinned African-American woman" in connection with the shootings.

Police also say that there is "no indication of a connection to international terrorist groups".

NBC just broke-in to regularly scheduled programming to report that the Garage Guy spoke to negotiators, and said that he was NOT part of any group, that he acted alone (they have 3 suspects in custody, though), that he hated white people / white cops and that he was gonna kill all of them. He also said he was angry at "Black Lives Matter" (I can't figure this one out----maybe he meant that he was angry that there had to BE such a group, because of the killings of black men); he was angry about the recent killings in LA and MN. It seems like Garage Guy was black, and all the officers shot were white----the one officer they've identified had no "ethnic" name (Irish, Italian, Latino, etc.----other than just Western European----I think his last name was Thompson).

Also, the Dallas Police Chief wanted to clarify that Garage Guy was killed by the bomb POLICE detonated in the garage, and did NOT kill himself, as was previously reported by the media.

I wanted to second this. I don't know about the CD man's case, but as to the other guy- Not enough people have been talking about how that man was lawfully carrying, notified the officer and was following the officer's directions when he was shot to death, right next to the daughter he was raising. The officer could have easily also killed that little girl. As it was her dad was shot to death in front of her.

AND Capital Hill's visitor center was just on lock down for about 20 minutes and that was just resolved. No other information yet.

the guy appears to be some sort of black militant, CNN saying he was/is an army reservist
