Yeah, it is about trump and his administration. They are racist and they’ve taken to the airwaves (and the courts etc) to make it known. trump himself, Steve Brannon, and especially Steven Miller. It is literally impossible to deny that these men are racists who spout racist rhetoric (and enact it into immigration law) that gets people all riled up and feeling emboldened to commit acts of aggression or violence in the name of said racism.

How can anyone possibly deny that trump going on TV/social media and spouting off anti-Mexican rhetoric thousands upon thousands of times hasn’t had a negative impact on the collective minds of his supporters? The evidence is in the uptick of hate crimes.

And it is about racism and not about illegal immigrants. If it were about illegal immigrants then FLOTUS Melania would be deported for having entered the USA as an illegal immigrant with an invalid visa. But, she’s white so there’s nothing to see there.

Trump didn’t inspire this thread, nor probably this woman’s actions.

Trump might create the atmosphere inspiring all this.

But the thread itself was inspired by a manifestation of the age-old racism which has been around since long before Trump’s great-great-great grandparents’ time.

It was inspired by an innocent 14-year-old girl getting hit by a car driven by some maniac for reasons of racism/ethnic hatred.

Okay, I acknowledge that Trump has a lot to do with inspiring the current degree of racist attacks, just like many politicians and other leaders have since this country was formed.

This whole situation is like a flashback to me.  People who hated Eastern Europeans used to attack me because they thought I was a "Pollack" (their word, not mine).  People who hated "queers" used to attack me because they thought I was a "F****t" (their word, not mine).  People who hated ...

I could go on, and post almost every hate word I learned back in the 1960s in the same context, but that would likely get me banned.

My point is that one old woman's hatred and ignorance likely caused her to react negatively to a young woman for something as ubiquitous as having long, dark hair.  That old woman is a menace to society, in my opinion.

Publicity, from what I’ve seen, almost always increases the punishment for crimes—in every state of the Union.

The prosecutor is forced to be held more accountable for vigorous prosecution.

And the judge is also scrutinized—so he/she will probably sentence a defendant to a harsher term if the crime is publicized.

We shall see....

He won’t be convicted in the Senate...but he can be prosecuted after he leaves office.

If it’s for a state crime, he can only be pardoned by the governor of that state. No chance of that happening in New York.

We must focus upon the well-being of the girl.

And the prosecution, to the fullest extent of Iowa law, of the Perpetrator.

For some people, any conversation worth having is also worth politicizing.

I heard about this on the news on saturday,pretty sick to run over a child for no real reason,other than hate of coarse.What posses some people to be so cruel?
