No, that kind of thinking is a mistake, because it blinds you to the biases held in common by all the networks.

An amusing postscript to the BLM protests

Two reporters have been arrested live on air in the US while covering a Black Lives Matter protest in Rochester, New York.

The reporters were the only African American journalists on the scene and were among 74 people arrested by local police in riot gear, WHAM-TV, the station employing the reporters, said.

“Oh come on, this is a journalist doing his job,” a WHAM-TV news anchor can be heard saying as the station showed live footage of one of the reporters being led away in handcuffs as he was trying to interview a woman.

The general public doesn't realize that there really is a very real widespread racism in the police subculture. The shooting that took place was a sign of it; the barely-covered-in-media protests are a sign of it.

Yes, I'm totally and absolutely sure they (the journalists) were targeted because they were black.

This is one of those, don't jump to conclusions thingy.

Prejudice is not racism necessarily, the biggest reason the minorities particularly young black men feel a disproportionate weight of the law is because they commit a disproportionate amount of the crime. You can beat around the bush but that is just a fact, now some people scream oh my god that's racist but these people do not really care about these communities as that ignores the root cause of this problem which is less white supremacy and more poverty and drugs in the minority community. I think there are legitimate issues with policing in the country but to this 'White America needs to understand that... yadayadayada...." really accomplishes absolutely nothing. How do we eliminate the gang culture in Black America? How do we end this multi-generational poverty?

I believe all drugs should be legal and I think that would go a long way in helping these communities but we still have this problem which is a problem that crosses all racial boundaries is that upward mobility in America has become an impossibility for much of this country. We don't need nicer cops, we need more better more humanitarian laws and more opportunity. We need to restore the role of the family in this country, the black community in particular has been completely devastated by its collapse. If people are freer now then they freer to be miserable, not everything that has happened in this country the last 40-50 years has been a good thing. People are products of their environments, they live up to the expectations put upon them. We need to value human life a lot more across the board in this country.

It is a tad bewildering that out of 74 journalists they were the only ones picked out by the police and arrested? Are you saying that if there is a sea of black faces in a protesting crowd the police are justified in grabbing the nearest dark skinned person and arresting them?

I don't think 'cultural insensitivity' is the problem, you're making a massive assumption about who and where these cops are from. The culture of the ghetto is a toxic violent one that breeds this paranoia with police which isn't totally unwarranted, the problem is that we have ghettos in the first place. A lot of these police are veterans are used to policing warzones, that's the mentality that they're bringing into it.
