I've heard it said that an armed society is a polite society. I read some online article today where the writer said he'd never heard more people saying, please, thank you, sir, ma'am, etc.

I'm sketchy on the actual percentages, but I recall some other stat that said something to effect that people in the U.S. licensed to carry a firearm have a lower percentage of committing crimes than the general population or something like that.

The media seems to be flummoxed that the demonstration was peaceful and without incident with literally thousands of people carrying firearms in public. I don't believe there were any ANTIFA clashes either.

There is still time.

Well, it's over now and nothing happened. s**t! I was hoping for carnage! I wanted to see blood spurting, body parts flying, and general chaos and destruction!

Oh, well! Maybe next rally.

Atleast it is hockey season. You should be able to see blood squirting and Carnage on ESPN.

Sadly, I don't own a TV.

There is not nearly as much fighting in hockey these days as there used to be but there is always Youtube to bring us back to the good old days :D

I watch TV though the internet all the time. There is cable TV in the house but my room is not connected to it. I am perfectly happy with what I can get on the internet. I hardly ever see commercials. I have no idea what most of them are like.

I'm the same way. The only time I watch network news, for example is if I happen to be in a room with someone whose watching it, which is almost never. I could probably count the number of times I've seen network news in the last five years or more on two hands. I think it's something people should actually avoid.

I like listening to news radio. I like a local Seattle station called KIRO. When the impeachment trial was being talked about today the person giving the news gave both sides of it. Played some things republicans had to say and some things democrats had to say. It was very balanced. I get no impression whether KIRO radio is left or right in the way they present the news I listen to.

Who wouldn't want to see chaos?
It's very stimulating.
Some people must feel a high degree of chagrin. 8O

I think if one person had done something on their own, that would have included everybody "on their side". Like if one antifa or claiming to be antifa flipped out and hurt or killed someone, then all of antifa would be blamed for that person's lone actions.

I didn't expect any chaos. I only expect chaos when there are demonstrations raising up one, while demonizing another. It's the Constitutional rights afforded all that were being upheld, supported.

I have the TV going (never watching it, just listening), the computer up and several books open. I shift back and forth between, mind engaged to overload.

There is scientific speculation that an active mind staves off dementia.
If true, most aspies would benefit here.

Mind you,
I have always had a poor memory,
Presumably, Executive Functioning Deficit related,
So, I am not sure if my life would be any different.

Sure doesn't look like it

Might help if the right wing nutjobs don't actually goose-step around in public with loaded weapons.
