It's certainly not without its problems, I will be the first to admit. But the problems aren't inherent to immigration per se, but more related to how it's been handled. I'd say most of the blame lie with the naïveté of certain ministers and key bureaucrats who live in their own little flower-power hippie fantasy where everyone in the world is actually a western progressive at heart.

Yet it's only xenophobia when the U.S. does it.

In other words...

Britain First
France First
Germany First
Sweden First
Iceland First...

...the list goes on.

Well in all fairness those people didn't steal those lands to create their countries the way Americans have. They've been living in those countries for centuries. Plus it's ironic to me how the colonists stole territory from indigenous people and now they don't want to allow anybody else into their country. So America's xenophobia is worse because of the fact that we are living on stolen land and refuse to share.

So, to them...

We're not bringing our best and brightest...we're bringing drug dealers, we're rapists--and some of us, they assume, are good people.

As far as I know everyone wants to immigrate to America not vice-versa, i don't think that Trump affects your lives so much.

^^^think again, trumpoleenee "affected" over 180k people so far by his thoroughly defective response to COVID19.

Not to mention him encouraging violence through these massive protests instead of trying to calm people down and bring all Americans together in a time of crisis.

Indeed. Also these long protests and riots may not have started with Trump, but he is the one pouring gasoline on the fire to make people more violent. If we have another civil war it will be his fault. Make no mistake about it. He has made it clear in the past that he wants it to happen.

IMHO he is another one of the antichrists, along with napoleon, hitler et al.

Let alone the many acts of treason he has committed by blabbing state and military secrets to this countries enemies.

Plus defending the Russians who put a bounty on our American soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

He alienated a tremendous amount of the media against hisself .. And would say outloud at his rallies and presentations would almost attack reporters verbally whom tried to twist his words ..
Now four years later , have seen local programming absolutely editing out people who have spoke out on his Behalf
In a positive manner .. if trump actually said something positive about race relations , in would never make it into the press ... The press have had 4 yrs to build a proper hate campaign against his campaign And edit his words to whatever they want . Just to rub into his nose , the power of the press , which is owned by their own. Brands of hate. Now am not saying that Trump is the best president we have ever had , But he has put the US. First in his trade negotiations . And had boosted the economy until the covid thing came out .
So please do not kill the messenger am just trying to show a balanced veiw of things , but OMG why did he NOT
Address race relations in in Republican rally . This did cause me concern .

Maybe because:

A) He really is a racist and any 'good' he claims to have done for people of color in the past was just a political stunt to win over minority votes.

or

B) He's trying to fire up his base with anger and hate so that he can get them to destroy the political party that opposes him because that's what fascists leaders always do, they convince their side that the other side is inhuman and deserves to be destroyed.
