I love octopi. They are perhaps my favourite creatures from the fishy world... beautiful, intelligent... I could watch them for hours. They use tools, they help each other out, and I know for a fact that they recognise humans. One octopus I know of became irate with a scientist who was experimenting on him, and every time that scientist came into the room the octopus would rise to the top of his tank and spit ink all over him. He obviously knew the differences between humans.
Perhaps more than any other animal it pains me that people could eat them. They seem to me like intelligent brains with awesomely flexible legs. I think if people weren't so caught up on the "cute" they would be more popular than dolphins.
They don't live very long though. I'm sad this chap died in a glass tank.

What did the scientist do to him? I'd like to do "some things" to that scientist.
