I was surprised to learn that Iran is actively pursuing and managing to build F-4s but those were under unclassified so I am guessing this is already publically available knowledge.

Personally, I do not find much in here that puts any particular country or even soilders in jeapordy. How did this guy get these documents?

All of the blanks ---------- or _ _ _ _ , are names of people, businesses and organization's that are irrelevant to the principles (or lack thereof) and facts. Whom of which, should remain undisclosed unless retaliation is prompted.

Some of the info was obtained as described Here
However, considering the fact that said source has been in solitary confinement, and some of the dates are extremely recent, some things just don't add up to equal the US mantra of truth.

The CIA needs to assassinate them before they start a war.

I agree - now if they were only intelligent enough to get the launch codes and take aim at Capitol Hill.

You're assuming the CIA wouldn't just botch it.

As much as Wikileaks is endangering America by publishing this information, I still admit that we the people have a right to know how our government functions especially when it comes to dealing with foreign nations. They're only exposing corruption at the highest level, I say let them be. Of course, the government doesn't want that because all their dirty laundry is getting washed where all the world can see.

Oh, and if the government takes any direct action against the proprietors of Wikileaks, up to and including assassination, it will only prove that they have something to hide.

As it is, they are already trying to take indirect action. The founder of Wikileaks is being accused of rape by officials in Sweden. And you're going to try and convince me that the US government doesn't have a stake in that particular case? They've probably got bribes passing left and right trying to get him convicted.

The Only thing Wikileaks is "endangering", is the validity of the spoken word by certain individuals. Unfortunately it has become the "American Way" to portray others as atrocious as possible
in order to gain support for their own atrocities. Tearing down one's reputation
expecting to build your own, gives you a reputation well deserved.
The individuals are under attack, not their countries.

doesn't make Schwarzenegger a Nazi.

Pretty amusing stuff. Like this - status report from Panama, apparently 'bout seven days before the invasion in '89.

LOL. It isn't wikileaks that starts the wars my son.

Any luck, people in the rest of the world might stop blindly following the US INTO wars, the more they get shown to be duplicitous double-dealing two-faced warmongering nutjobs. Maybe their will be a wholesale shift of loyalty from the US towards the East. China maybe. At least everyone KNOWS they're evil.

As a side order of ironic activity, wikileaks got DD0sed quite badly last night. I WONDER WHO could be behind that attack.. ?? Oh the mystery. Oh the suspense. Oh the look on their faces when the next lot of leaks proves that Federal Agencies have been committing Federal Offences in direct violation of US Law against all the principles of freedom of speech. :lol:

I heard about this in the news this morning. Apparently, one of the leaked cables even talks about the release of Nelson Mandela:

Apparently.. china told South Korea it would be quite happy if it took over the north. In september 2009 when the chinese premier went to visit the north they sent a memo to the secretary of state to down play the visit that said "although we don't like them...they are our neighbour" :lol:

Bless, oh well looks like were not going to have a world war over the north if they decide to get nasty

I might be in the minority here, but I support what they are doing. The government is supposed to be checked by the people, not this all powerful machine which the people live in fear and silence because of it. Of course the tables have been turned, and the reaction to these leaks are sufficient evidence. But well...

And that's why we should know what's being released. It's the only way to having a free society.

Unfortunately "Free Society" is an oxymoron by design. In order to be a part of any society, one must pay the price of adhering to it's boundaries. More times than not, basic morals and practical judgment are the price to pay for membership at the expense of one's own heart.

Example 1 - An innocent person had access to proof a cold-blooded murder;
Result = This person deserves to die via cold-blooded murder - according to the murderers.

Example 2 - A person is caught telling lies, forcing others to lie and doesn't have to answer for it;
Result = This person has the right to make lies legal - with the support of said society.
Continues to create lies against the person who caught her telling lies,
while said society pays the price of the broadcast.

Ok, DaWalker, that made no sense to me.

At any rate, something you guys may or may not find interesting is the old term that I believe is used to describe government officials in the Constitution. Anyone ever heard of a civil servant? Probably not, the term hasn't been used in the vernacular for some time, but it's synonymous with politician.

What that means is the government is supposed to serve We the People, not the other way around. What the government is doing is basically being dishonest. Say you were rich and had a butler, but the butler would be dishonest and try to pull a fast one over you. What would be the most obvious course of action. Easy: fire the butler, right? And since our government is comprised of dishonest civil servants, that should be the best course of action here.
