Peter Higgs wins the Nobel Prize for Physics this year

So, the Nobel Prizes are being announced and, as I suspected, Peter Higgs has won the Nobel Prize for Physics due to the discovery of the Higgs Boson in July last year. The Prize is also being shared with Francois Englert who, in a different paper, independently predicted the Higgs mechanism. Here's the story:

So, no one's interested that Peter Higgs won the Nobel Prize? Last year, there was a whole thread on the Higgs Boson.

Probably because everyone expected him to win, anyway... The big question was who the co-recipient(s) would be.

There is likely going to be a lot more commotion tomorrow when the Peace Prize is handed out...
