The man who called 911 to report he was involved in a shooting with George Zimmerman appears to be the same person involved in a road rage incident with the former neighborhood watch volunteer last year. (May 11) AP

Not sure what to make of it.

But apparently he attracts similar types to himself: gun toting loose cannons.

It looks like the round went through the closed window, and Zimmerman was in the car. The shooter is claiming self-defense [due to Zimmerman wielding a weapon], but it'd be hard to prove that Zimmerman was pointing it at him (that's where something crosses into assault in the least; pointing it).

Detectives are going to have a fun with this one.

Unless there's a tape somewhere, this one is going to be a real head-scratcher. If it were anyone else, I would say that generally people don't get randomly shot at, but in this case, enough people hate that man and know that he's likely to be armed, that it's not outside the realm of possibility that someone figured they could basically take a free shot at him and just claim he was flashing his piece around.

Looking at the car, it doesn't appear that you'd be able to tell if Zimmerman was armed with certainty. Whilst it might look different in person, you can tell that it's a very dark tint. If the dude said he saw him through the windshield (assuming it's lighter), then you'd think he would have shot through such. This is assuming that Zimmerman was in the car, but you wouldn't get wounds from glass spalling if he was standing on the outside.

Of course, the window could have been rolled down some at the time of the shooting. The path of the bullet is easily enough to discern for the investigators, though.

And to think, this and every other incident he's been involved in since has happened because he had chosen to try to play hero, and follow a random black kid he was suspicious of.

It seems to me that Zimmerman is stalking this guy. Zimmerman may have moved away but while he was back in town he paid a visit to him and almost got what he deserves, sadly the guy missed.
